I've been buying this particular Otterbox style of case for my last 3 iphones and they protect your phone well without making it a lot bulkier. Eventually they wear out, but you get an easy year plus. The primary issue I have is that I keep my phone in my front pocket and after a year or so the rubber lip on the front wears down from rubbing in my pocket until its even with the front of the phone. So at that point you don't get much protection in case it falls on the ground on the screen. The second issue is that the thin rubber/plastic bit on the top of the charge port will eventually break off. Once this happens you might as well get a new one and it'll continue to break small pieces off until the bottom is worn away so the phone doesn't stay in well. But for any of these problems, I've usually had it way more than a year so I would consider it basically normal wear. These are pretty low profile and don't bulk the phone up. For someone like me carrying in a front pocket that's great. Also, over the 3 iphones I used this design case on I've accidentally dropped my phone probably a dozen times and never had an issue (except for the time I dropped the phone in the pool and that's not the case's fault). You can definitely get cheaper cases, but I think this is well worth the money. ... show more

Definitely recommend if you want protection for your phone but hate the bulky design most protecting cases have. heads up that this otterbox case is one layer of protection not 2 as others do. I like this feature but others may not due to preference. I prefer since it’s easy to install and deal with. It does have raised edges for your camera and screen. If you have a screen protector there will still be a rise that protects your screen protector but obviously will decrease due to your added layer. However the case edges are still higher then my screen protector which I like. The texture is high quality with rubber and smoothness. The installation is super easy and doesn’t have you wrestling with the case. The thickness makes me feel comfortable with the safety of my phone. I have had it for a year and dropped too many times to count. I can trust it if I drop it from 5 ft onto concrete. It is very sturdy. It isn’t bulky like most otterboxes I am thinking I I’ll get another one bc my volume up button fell off. The corners are starting to get a little slick bc if it rubbing on my hands and in and out of my pocket. What I did is loosen all the shoelaces so all I have to do when putting them on is to strap the little zipcrow latch thing and go so not bad.

This is the second otter box case I’ve ever owned and it’s just as good if not better than the first one. I wouldn’t have spent my money anywhere else than on this brand because I know how well it works to protect your phone, while still keeping it at a decent and comfortable size and thickness. So hardly any compromise is made aesthetically in order to keep your precious phone from having a shattered screen, breaking into pieces or lost forever due to a rough drop. I love the overall sleek vibe this case offers. I have it in pure black, which is a nice simple matte black. It’s very chic and simple with a pain black pop sock sticker thing on it to ensure a better and more comfy grip. I highly recommend this case. The last one of the same model I had lasted me for a little over five years!! Kept me from ever having a broken screen or anything and I am not the most delicate/gentle person around so that’s saying something for sure. The case never really even stopped working, I just bought a new phone model and had to change cases. But the older case is still in tact. If I had to use it, I would and would be no less protected than if I used a new otter box, I believe! I trust this brand and have always known them to be the best and safest option. This is a really great and durable case for every day use. However, the raised edges could be a bit taller. I have a screen protector on the phone and it comes right up flush to the edges. This has caused my protectors to get cracks and scratches in them frequently. Granted, that’s what they’re meant to do, however I feel like if the raised edges were a bit taller the cracking would be less common. Other than that though, it’s a very reliable case.
