The typical bad reviews speak to things the case was never meant to protect--like the screen. This is not a case for that and there are other methods for screen protection; the one I love is something that is a liquid that dries to a hard, completely invisible shell. But I digress. This worked great for about 4 months. Then I would try to open/close the screen of my S22 and the side button either wouldn't respond, or it would show the "power off" screen instead of going blank. Again and again and again. Thinking perhaps some kind of buildup was causing an issue, I took the phone out and cleaned the entire outside of the metal phone itself. Then I gently wiped down the inside and outside of this case I purchased. Didn't solve the problem, which had become intermittent and maddening. Finally, I went to press the side button to open the screen, hoping as always now for no issues, and the plastic piece of this case that pushes the side button down came off, rendering this case unusable. ... show more

I have dropped my phone a lot. I'm a butter hands and tend to drop stuff. My last otterbox case had cracks on all all the corners but my phone never broke. This one is holding up too. The dye from your pants will transfer to the case and change colors. My turned blue and now its a weird yellowish color. Still serves its purpose and its sparkly so oh well. ... show more
