4 years ago, when my phone was new, I put an otterbox on it before my phone ever left the house. I just replaced that first otterbox, since the charger port cover finally broke off- after 4 years of use. Let me tell you about those 4 years. When my phone was 6 months old, I left it on the back of my car when I was getting gas. Like everything that is placed on top of a car, it was forgotten- until I'd pulled out into 40mph traffic. That's when my bluetooth disconnected. That's when I knew that the cars behind me had just trampled my expensive new phone at over 40mph. By rights, my phone should have been smashed to smithereens. I recovered my phone- after watching a few cars run it over some more. The screen was nothing but shards of broken glass. But my bluetooth reconnected. And stayed connected all day at work. After all that, the only thing broken was my screen, and a few dings and cracks in the hard plastic of my amazing case. I got a new screen installed and kept using that same case for another 3.5 years. It is a little bulky, it is a little thick, it's not very sexy, but it will protect your phone like nothing else. I will never have a phone that's not covered in an otterbox. They are worth every penny every time. ... show more

This is my 3rd otterbox defender for the same phone. Over time getting dropped and stuff getting worn-out the cases need replaced. Phone looks like it is new.
