Bought this case since I’ve had luck with OtterBox in the past. At first the case was really slippery, but after use, it was not as bad. I highly recommend OtterBox, but I wish the back near the camera was a little thicker to protect the lenses more. Otherwise no complaints.

I have always used an Otterbox Defender Case. All previous cases have had a hard case around the phone and then a silicone case over the hard case. This particular case did not come with a silicone cover over the hard case. This makes me nervous. I have never had a screen crack with any previous Otter Box Defender cases. In fact, once I dropped my phone and a car ran over the phone and it didn't break. I'm trying to decide if I want to return this case (OtterBox Defender Series XT Case with MagSafe ) and get a regular defender case. ... show more

    • Loving this case!
As a big fan of MagSafe, I was disappointed to see that the main Defender series line at OtterBox is not MagSafe compatible. However, when I saw that they created this ‘spinoff’ line that is MagSafe compatible for $20 less I was ecstatic! Admittedly, this case does not come with good directions…make sure to take off the plastic blue ring being held by the gold rubber on the sides before trying to put your phone in or you’re gonna have a bad time. However, a month in this is my favorite OtterBox I’ve had to date! It’s not overly bulky like a regular Defender series case, but it’s not crappy like a Commuter or Symmetry series case. It’s a nice medium and I’m hopeful that this line will be continued when I upgrade in a few years from my iPhone 13! ... show more

Otterbox has always charged a premium for their cases. On the other hand, these expensive little plastic things do have a good reputation for protection or for lasting, so I suppose they’re worth it. I mean, I bought one. But is this really $59 (list price) worth of materials and engineering? For that much money you’d think the instruction sheet would be a little more helpful than the one cryptic page. I mean, the multi-language warranty sheet is about eight times as long. But I keep buying them nonetheless. ... show more
