I've used otter boxes of this design for years, and never a damaged phone. I transferred my iphone 6 case to my iPhone 8, and it worked well enough for years, although the flashlight was partially blocked. It finally started tearing on the bottom so I got this one since my phone still works well. I got my flashlight back to full brightness, and everything lined up perfectly. I didn't care for the all black, so I put some yellow reflective tape on the front and back to differentiate my phone from all the other black case phones. Great case and great protection. Love this thing! First one I had finally broke (the clip) BUT that was my fault! Takes a BEATING and protects the phone! It’s not a cute- slim-iPhone holder- but it gets the job done! Nice belt clip-that can clip open so you can stand on its side to watch videos . I HIGHLY recommend this product!!

I think this is the second or third one of these cases that I've bought, but they do last a really, really long time and are worth the price in my opinion. I needed a replacement case for an iphone 8 - had a Silk Armour case that was perfect but they don't make them anymore. So I got this one. Perfect fit and protects very will. Won't slip out of my hand or on a sloped surface. Negatives are the size - this won't fit on my wireless charger in my car (prior case did). Also, had trouble with the cover flaps on the side (for the mute button) and the bottom for charging - eventually just cut them off. The home button (for fingerprints) quit working so I cut that out too and may do the same with the screen cover. The back and side covers are what I really needed and they are very good.
