I stand by all things Otterbox! I finally had to break down and buy a new defender series for my iPad after I wore the other out. I’ve dropped my device more time than I care to admit and not once has my device sustained damage. This is a great buy.

It feels very strong and sturdy. I really like that when you stand it up it is straight up and not at an angle. I bought it for my 4 year old who is now distance learning and the iPad camera is directly on her and not the ceiling or above her head. It works great when shes watching her online videos or working on the online educational activities sent by her teacher on Seesaw. The only thing I didn't like is that if you have the pencil, in order to charge it or to connect it you have to open the side flap so that it magnetically attaches directly to the iPad. It's just a bit of a drag to open and close but the pros outweigh that 1 con. ... show more

I purchased this for my husband’s new 12.9 iPad I got him for his birthday. He has broken a 9 and another 12.9 iPads. This is his 3rd and final one.😂 The case is great protection thus far. Wish I had it when he had the other 2. It was a little challenging getting the rubber part into the grooves, but other than that, it was easy putting it on. This cover will not disappoint you it’s just like the phone covers easy to hold and it has a screen protector built-in super awesome cover. It has a hard cover that turns into a stand which personally I don’t have much use for but you can use it to cover the screen for storage or for traveling to add even more protection to the screen. Only thing that’s a little tuff to use is the home button when your trying to screen shot. I purchased a competitors cover for $97 only because the outer box was not available at that store and then ordered my outterbox cover once it arrived and I used it the other cover went back.I’ve been using OtterBox phone covers for over 10 years and I have never been disappointed with them in Quality or customer service.     • Good case, some cons to consider
Sturdy and protective. I don't like the flap on the side that is used to cover the Apple pencil charging location. It's flimsy and feels like it will break off. Also, when I purchased it, for some reason there was a large gap between the layers that is slightly bothersome. The built-in plastic screen protector is also pretty bad and scratches easily. Once it's scratched (even the Apple pencil can scratch it) it is annoying to use. However, the rest of the case is excellent and I do highly recommend purchasing it and you will not be disappointed, it's just that it could have been better. ... show more

If you want to be reassured that your iPad is protected then I give this case 5 stars. However, it adds a whole lot of bulk. If you’re holding the iPad, then it gets tiring really fast. I only found one of the viewing positions useful. And even then, it wasn’t ideal. It does have a place to store the Apple Pencil. The stand can be used to cover the screen when not in use, but that can become tedious to remove everytime you want to use the iPad. I ended up returning it and getting the Zugu case. It’s not as protective but makes the iPad more accessible & enjoyable to use. ... show more

The Otter series of cases is all I use on my iPhone, iPad air, and now on my iPad pro. These are the best. I have dropped my iPhone and the case saved my phone. The screen protector has saved my screen. I have an Otter case on my ipad air pro since day 2. This is my monitor I use for my drone flights. It has protected my iPad from dirt, drops, water, and constant screen inputs by clean and dirty fingers. Just a quick wipe and the screen protector is clear. So, based on past performance of my other Otter Defender cases, I could go with no other brand for my new iPad pro than the Otter Defender case. ... show more
