I'll admit - I had to look up a video to see how this would really work. I love the idea of being able to jump rope for exercise without tripping over the stupid rope. And I can use this in a small space without worrying about "traveling" forward or back and hitting the rope on something else in the room. It's a relatively simple set up and charge. It took me a bit of practice to realize that you don't need to move your arms/wrists to make it go in a circle, the weighted balls fall into a natural rhythm when you jump. I downloaded the app, but it's just one more thing so I'm using it more often without the app. I haven't perfected doubleunders with it yet, but will keep working on it. It comes with a convenient storage back (and a plastic rope that I don't expect to use.)

Fortunately, the smart jump rope has added to my different workouts throughout the day! I am actually more comfortable not having to deal with the app for this smart jump rope! I do prefer using the cordless balls rather than the rope, as I don't have to worry about bumping into things, or inadvertently tripping! It took me several times to get used to the movement of the cordless balls, but after using many times now, it's become routine and easy to do! I also make use of the timer and the jump count, which encourages me to add either more jumps or more time to my workouts on any particular day. Anything that encourages exercise is a plus in my book! So those wanting to have another alternative way of getting exercise might find this to be a good option!

I am awful at remembering to incorporate cardio. I thought it would be fun to start jump roping and tracking my progress throughout summer. It comes in a carrying pouch and included is a long rubber rope and two little ropes with balls for indoor jumping. The cord is thick which was weird to get used to. The handles are comfortable to hold and the cord swings smoothly as I jump. It is usb-c rechargeable, so you don’t need to keep track of a special charger. The numbers are made from light so you can’t see how many jumps you’ve done if you are working out in the sunlight. All you do to connect it to the app is power it on and it goes automatically. From there you can enter in your characteristics and pick goals and training plans.

The device seems accurate while I was using it, but I have a bit of a coordination disability, so the balls are a nice way to simulate the same movement, even though they get a little out of hand with the spinning. If you have cats, be careful, mine thought they were a toy while in use and got bopped when I didn't see her jump off the table at them. The app is a bit strange, until you get used to it, the vibration and count alongs are actually quite nice and helps you to achieve an activity goal.
