This pack is super handy for any kind of resort winter sports. It's not huge, and neither am I, so this works well for me. I like to do different things, snowshoeing, snowboarding, skiing, and this handles all of them well. This pack isn't going to save my life in an avalanche (that requires a different pack). But for me, being able to easily pack this in my luggage plus have some hydration without feeling like I'm carting someone else around on my back is great. Here are some points I think could be better described in the listing: ✅ EASY TO PACK IN LUGGAGE FOR RESORT TRIP Compact shape and minimal bulk make this simple to tuck into a suitcase, ideal for travel. ✅ COMFY, LOW-PROFILE DESIGN WITH MINIMAL EXTERNAL STRAPS Fits easily on chairlifts and doesn’t take up more room than I do, yea, no awkward tottering on the edge (been there). Also works well as a general day pack if you just need something small. Very comfortable to wear, especially with the easily adjustable waist strap. ✅ INCLUDES A HIGH-QUALITY 2.5L HYDRAPAK RESERVOIR WITH INSULATED HOSE Should keep water from freezing on cold days, although it's summer here now and I haven't been able to fully test this. My experience with other hydration packs is they work basically to the low teens, and then below that, it gets dicey in terms of freezing. This holds a lot of water, I don't even need to fill it completely. It doesn't weight me down too much. ✅ RESERVOIR USED FOR COOLING INSTEAD OF HYDRATION FOR SUMMER BEACH HIKES I've used this to store ice to keep my lunch and snacks cold when I did a morning hike to the beach. It worked GREAT! ✅ COMPACT BUT PRACTICAL STORAGE Great for shedding a base layer or stashing a waterproof shell when temps swing. There's not much room beyond that, so packing smart matters. ✅ INTERNAL MESH POCKET STORAGE SMALL BUT FITS NECESSARY ESSENTIALS One small mesh pocket accessed through themain compartment can hold goggles, or sub in a phone, small wallet and keys. The shallow depth means quick access without having to dig elbow-deep. ✅ GLOVE-FRIENDLY ZIPPERS ENHANCE COLD-WEATHER USABILITY Easy to operate without taking off gloves. ✅ STRAP KEEPER INTEGRATION IS PARTIAL Strap keepers are included on each side of the waist belt, but not on shoulder straps or the rear adjustment strap. Overall, if you're looking for a good winter resort pack, this one is great. Osprey is a trusted brand for a reason, their products lasts. And although this is built for winter sports, it's a great, low profile, hydration pack for summer fun as well.

This backpack looks really nice and I like the color which I chose, 'cascade blue'. Everything is very well made, the zippers, the -as they call it- Hydraulics reservoir and, well, everything else. This backpack is geared towards the cold season and it's fantastic that the harness through which the tube runs is (well) insulated. The fabric feels nice and sturdy, as well as of great quality. It has a several compartments and provides more storage space than it looks like at first. The pack is pretty lightweight, but by no means because of thin or flimsy materials—the pack feels and is rock solid. I love that they are able to make such a backpack with no compromises to the quality, with so much recycled materials. So if you are environmentally oriented, another reason to consider this one. Another great backpack from Osprey which I can certainly recommend.

I love Osprey packs, and I own several. I’m consistently impressed with how well-made they are and how well the company backs their products. This one is no exception. I first noted the material which is distinctly different from other Osprey packs I have owned, and I think this thicker and more rubbery feeling material is going to do a better job keeping out the wet and snow. The pack is comfortable with a nice array of straps and pockets. The burgundy and blue color combination seems like an odd one to me, but I do like the combination combination in-person. The burgundy really looks snazzy on he outside. Overall, I think this is a terrific pack.

Overall I was left a bit disappointed with this pack, the overall quality of the materials and the construction are top notch but the pack is bulky and lacks useful pockets for personal items, and there is so much wasted space for storing straps, the bag doesn’t work for me, but it is a quality item.

This is a great day pack for resort skiing. I found that the 12L is the perfect size to fit what you may need for the entire day, but not so big that you feel like you're being pushed off the lift chair. I'm able to fits an extra mid layer, snacks and my goggle case. Enough pockets and features, and Osprey delivers with a premium feel in fit, finish and construction. This thing should last quite a while. The only thing I wish it had was included some velcro strap keepers to help the keep the excess line on the chest/waist straps at bay. That may seem like a minor nitpick -- but everything else is so premium feeling, I thought this would be included too. Still a great buy and no regrets at all.

You don’t realize that hydration is important not just in hot climates, but in all climates. This bag is set up for winter sport hydration. I totally recommend that you always stay hydrated and this bag is set up to do just that and not freeze over when you’re skiing or snowboarding.
