  • ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Perfect Carry-On for Stress-Free Travel
Color: Graphite Purple Style: 40l
I took the Osprey Fairview 40 on a recent trip and immediately understood why it’s so highly recommended. The 40L capacity is the sweet spot—large enough to pack for a week or more, yet compact enough to qualify as a carry-on for most airlines. The suitcase-style opening makes packing incredibly easy, and the internal compression straps keep everything organized and secure. What really stands out is the comfort. Unlike many travel backpacks, the Fairview distributes weight exceptionally well thanks to its supportive hip belt and women-specific fit. Even when fully packed, it feels balanced and comfortable during long walks through airports and city streets. The quality is exactly what I’d expect from Osprey—durable materials, smooth zippers, thoughtful organization, and practical features like the stowaway harness and dedicated laptop compartment. It’s clear this pack was designed by people who actually travel. If you’re looking for a one-bag travel solution that combines comfort, durability, and smart design, the Osprey Fairview 40 Travel Pack is an easy recommendation. It has made traveling simpler, more organized, and far more comfortable. Highly recommended for frequent travelers, weekend adventurers, and anyone who wants to avoid checked baggage. ... show more

  • Perfect for travel!
Color: Black Style: 40l
I bought this because I do not like roller carryon bags. I wanted to have everything I needed in a carton on my back for easy mobility in airports. I really like this bag. Good quality, comfortable to wear, and spacious.

  • nesting doll mother of all travel backpacks
Color: Graphite Purple Style: 55l
Oh my gosh, this is the mother of all backpacks! Wow. Totally impressed. Opening this divine product is like handling a nesting doll, with more and more treats each layer you unleash. Move of apple, osprey fairview is now my all time favorite unboxing experience ever. I mean, I guess I had some sense of what I was getting, but totally not really. Each layer is a marvel in bag design and storage solutions. The quality is impeccable. Zippers smooth and easy to grasp. The feel on is very stable. The convenience, though, is out of the world. I wish I had this bag twenty years ago when I was backpacking across italy. Love that the base core of the bag is like a suitcase, easy to access and handle in airports without straps flapping all over the place swatting passer bys. So easy to tuck or untuck the backpacks straps, for sure. Plus, I just love how well the ventilation is done on the back of this pack. Sure, it'll be hot when I'm using this pack the most, but I won't be roasting with ventilation design like this. If you're looking for a new pack and haven't kept up with backpack design lately you'll find this alone simply amazing, and it's built into the back of the main pack, but also into the waist and shoulder straps. Such thoughtful design is why Osprey is my alltime favorite. I ordered the 55L so that I can carry it onto the airplane and the main 40L bag is about as roomy as can be, and will hold a good deal of clothes if you pack tight and only bring one pair of spare sandals, though you could probably slip in a pair of flip flops too. In this compartment, just like a suitcase, there's straps to cinch things down, and on the top lid there's a mesh compartment to throw all your unmentionables into. Oh, and the most ingenious little feature is the ID holder that looks like it's on the outer flap of the bag but really is behind the ID note, zipped up and secure on the inside, but very convenient to access when dealing with airport id nightmare situations, which I consider all of them to be. If you keep your id papers in this one spot it'll be more manageable at least. Now, for the 15L detachable bag, it's pretty awesome too and excellent for my 14" macbook. Fits perfectly with room to spare in the extra padded laptop space. The interior space has two compartments, basically, with a mesh storage area on the divider. On the outside of the bag there are two very roomy water bottle pockets and a smaller zippered pouch area that would be great for keeping things you want really handy, like keys or lip gloss or whatever will fit, as long as it's not like the size of my iphone plus, which would fit well in one of the water pockets honestly as it's completely obscured, but obviously it's open so you'd have to be ok with that. Amazingly, this little bag also has that great ventilation design so the back and straps won't be so hot. And, as a wonderful bonus, it's great knowing that these are made of recycled materials for a more sustainable design. ... show more

  • Thoughtfully Designed Carry-on Compliant Travel Pack Thoughtfully Designed Carry-on Compliant Travel Pack
Color: Graphite Purple Style: 55l
I ordered the Osprey Fairview 55L in Graphite Purple specifically for international travel where dragging a suitcase over cobblestones or uneven streets is not convenient. This size is ideal because the main pack works as a carry on while the detachable daypack qualifies as a personal item. That flexibility alone makes it a great travel system. This pack is designed for a female body. The harness is vertically adjustable so you can move it up or down to properly position the hip belt. Make sure the hip belt sits directly on your hips so it carries the majority of the weight. When adjusted correctly, it feels balanced rather than heavy on the shoulders. I own several Osprey products, including an ultralight hiking backpack, and true to Osprey’s reputation, the build quality here is excellent. The materials feel durable and well constructed, and the stitching and zippers are robust. The zippers are also lockable, which is a helpful feature for travel. I also really appreciate the breathable back panel on the main bag which allows for airflow and helps reduce heat buildup. A few things worth noting: - It does not come with a rain cover. However, the zippers have protective flaps that shield them from rain. - The straps and hip belt stow away neatly for travel; however, the flap that covers the back straps rolls up and tucks underneath, but it is not tightly secured, so I am unsure whether it could unravel over time. - You cannot access the main compartment without unhooking one side of the pack. It is not a downside, just something to be aware of when packing or grabbing items quickly. - The company notes that the back compartment of the daypack can hold a hydration bladder, but there is no opening for a tube to pass through to the outside. - There is an ID pocket on the back flap, but it only works when the straps are fully stowed for checking the bag. Personally, I would not use the ID pocket if I were checking the bag since I need to keep the ID on me, so I'm not sure how useful this feature is in that particular placement. - It has an integrated whistle on both the main bag and travel bag, which is a really helpful feature for security There are a few features of the bag that I am still uncertain about. It would be helpful if the company posted a more detailed instructional video walking through how all of the different features and attachment points are intended to be used. With so many thoughtful design elements, a deeper overview would help travelers maximize everything the pack offers. Organization is well thought out. There is a 3-1-1 pocket for toiletries, a large mesh interior lid pocket, and internal compression straps to keep everything tight. The side pockets are very stretchy and easily fit larger water bottles or a compact umbrella. There are also sewn loops where you can attach items with a carabiner, which adds versatility. The detachable daypack is extremely useful for day trips and exploring once you arrive. I appreciate that the daypack straps are ventilated, which makes it more comfortable in warm climates. This is an excellent choice for a carry-on compliant travel backpack system for women. ... show more

  • Durable, high-quality as expected from brand but maybe not too practical? Durable, high-quality as expected from brand but maybe not too practical?
Color: Graphite Purple Style: 55l
The Osprey Fairview 55L women's backpack is designed to take the place of a rolling suitcase for trips where you'd rather carry your luggage on your back. It opens up like a clamshell, similar to a traditional suitcase, which makes packing a lot more intuitive than a standard top-loading backpack. It comes with a detachable smaller daypack that you can clip on for day trips or wear on your front while in transit. It also has a handy zip panel that tucks away the shoulder straps, so it looks more like a bag than a backpack when you need it to. The harness and hip belt system is meant to help distribute weight comfortably, which could help a lot for anyone planning to walk long distances with it on. Overall Impression Like most Osprey products the backpack is a high-quality, durable backpack well-suited for extended travel, particularly for those wanting to avoid checked baggage or rolling suitcases. While you probably can't fit a checked bag worth of clothes and accessories, as long as you pack light and adjust it properly it should serve you well. Pros: - Durable, high-quality materials, most of the zippers feel sturdy and should last - Comfortable harness and hip belt that distributes weight well - Clamshell opening makes packing and unpacking easy, similar to a suitcase - Adjustable torso straps make it workable for a range of body types - The main compartment is surprisingly spacious - Qualifies as a carry-on, making it ideal for frequent flyers - The detachable daypack is useful for day trips and city exploring Cons: - Limited external pockets, makes quick-access items hard to reach without opening the whole bag - The attached smaller daypack (55L) is a bit narrow and could be better designed, the shallow mesh side pockets don't hold medium sized and larger water bottles securely - Could feel a bit heavy and bulky, especially for petite users (5'3" and under) or those with shorter torsos - Shoulder straps sit too close together for some women's frames, causing discomfort - Waist strap is designed for more average frames, it may be too small for waists on the plus size - The strap cover zipper looks a bit fragile and could break with rough baggage handling ... show more

  • Travel Workhorse, Worth It if You Actually Pack Heavy
Color: Cascade Blue Torrent Blue Style: 70l
This is one of those bags that people buy for real travel, not just a weekend trip. It’s built to carry a lot and still be comfortable, which is where it really stands out. The biggest win is the 70L capacity + detachable daypack. You can pack everything in the main bag for flights or long travel days, then use the smaller daypack for exploring once you get there. It basically turns into a 2-in-1 setup, which is super convenient. Comfort is also a strong point. It’s designed specifically for a women’s fit, with an adjustable torso and supportive harness system that helps distribute weight better. Even when it’s fully loaded, it feels more balanced than a typical travel backpack. The suitcase-style opening is another big plus. You don’t have to dig through the top like a hiking pack. It opens wide so you can actually see and organize your stuff. That said, it’s not for everyone. Fully packed, it gets heavy, and it’s definitely too big for carry-on in most cases. It’s best for longer trips where you actually need the space. Also, it leans more practical than aesthetic. It looks like a travel pack, not a cute bag. ... show more

  • Versatile travel backpack with smart organization and a useful daypack
Color: Black Style: 70l
This Osprey Fairview is a very practical travel backpack, especially for longer trips where organization and comfort matter. The large capacity provides plenty of space for clothes, gear, and travel essentials, and the front-panel opening makes packing much easier than traditional top-loading backpacks. It opens almost like a suitcase, which helps keep everything organized while traveling. One of the most useful features is the detachable daypack. It attaches securely to the main pack during transit and can easily be removed for day trips, city exploring, or short hikes. Having a smaller bag included adds a lot of flexibility when traveling. Comfort is another strong point. The women-specific design and adjustable torso length allow the pack to sit properly on the body, distributing weight more evenly across the hips and shoulders. The harness, hip belt, and frame system help stabilize the load and make carrying a fully packed bag much more manageable. Organization throughout the pack is well thought out. Internal compression straps keep clothing from shifting, while mesh pockets and front stash pockets help separate smaller items. The stowaway harness is also a great touch, allowing the straps to be tucked away when checking the bag during flights. Durability feels excellent. The materials are sturdy and built for repeated travel, and the reinforced areas help protect high-wear points over time. From a functionality standpoint, it’s designed to handle both backpack-style travel and airport transit without much hassle. In terms of value, it feels worth the price. The combination of capacity, comfort, organization, and the included daypack makes it a dependable option for extended travel or backpacking trips. A well-designed pack that balances practicality with long-term durability. ... show more
