The Daylite Plus just right as lightweight, comfortable all-purpose pack for the bus or the road or the trail. We were like a lot of people when Covid hit, looking for something safe to do with the young kids. We found that day hikes were a great way to get some energy out and spend quality time together. But, they're kids. They have limits. So we're talking a couple hours. Or a few hours with a picnic in the middle. This bag has everything we need. The water bottle holders are tall and secure. We can adjust things to get a good fit for my slim wife and myself who is, a little bit larger. Note that we don't use the possibly underwhelming, but removable hip belt because it's not usually loaded real heavy. And the back sweat... it doesn't go away completely, but it's the best I've ever used in the ventilation department (I have not owned a dedicated hiking pack with a real mesh full suspension). I appreciate the assortment of pockets of different sizes and depths to keep things organized. I like the pack so much that when I needed a bag to cart my laptop and crucially, stuff, back and forth to work I got another Daylite Plus. The padded hybrid pocket accommodates the laptop perfectly. This thing is just so, so versatile. If you really want something ultra specialized to a task you may want to look elsewhere, but for my uses the Daylite Plus is absolutely perfect.

5 Day Travel Bag: I just used this for a 5 day trip and had all my essentials and never had to worry about doing laundry. With the aid of a compression sack I was able to fit 5 pairs of socks, 5 boxers, 6 t-shirts, 2 shorts, and a bathing suit. Along with the jeans and outerwear I wore on the plane ride down I was set for the week. I was also able to fit a pair of leather reefs, a self-inflating lumbar pillow, rain shell, and my electronics roll into the pack. There was still a few inches of space to spare in the compression sack, but it would have been tight with the other items I stuffed into the pack. Without those, it would have easily accommodated another couple pairs of shorts or a pair of jeans. The front helmet pouch docked my Osprey day sling perfectly for a small travel bag for water and small essentials. It did bow the back padding a bit, but not enough for me to worry about deforming the backpack permanently, and wasn't uncomfortable to wear. The whole package fit easily under the aisle seat of a plane, which is typically a smaller width than the inner seats without spilling over into my leg room. Great travel pack, couldn't have asked for more out of the little 20L pack.

This bag holds the big water bottles (40oz) that others don’t and has the side straps to secure them in place. I haven’t found another bag with that design. Lightweight, weatherproof, nice organization, and very comfy. The ventilated padded back keeps you cool. The hip & chest straps are light & useful when you need them, but can be left undone without getting in the way. If you clip the hip strap, you can slip the bag over your carry-on luggage handle & secure it from the top handle… very handy at the airport. I used this bag for our trip to Yellowstone. It took some abuse & still looks great. My husband’s other name brand daypack didnt hold up as well. This bag is going to be getting a lot of use.

Beautiful durable pack, lightweight, lots of functional compartments, great size and fit for a short hike with a light load or as a work/school/trravel-on-a-plane pack. Had problems with straps on longer day hikes carrying heavier loads. The shoulder straps were not supportive of a load over 10 lb. Without the use of the chest connecting strap the shoulder straps felt too far apart on the shoulders, were trying to ride deep into the armpits, and were forming a creese along the long axis. The chest strap was perfect in alleviating those problems, it was very easy to change its position along the length of the shoulder straps and make a comfortable fit, however it was unable to stay at the chosen position and kept sliding up towards the neck, creating uncomfortable fir. Also, I wish the waist strap was wider, but it worked ok. There were no issues with side pockets holding bottles and the back shoulder connector was not bothering my neck. I’m 5’7” with average shoulders. Would recommend this pack to be used with light loads only, and not for any lengthy walks/hikes.

I recently used this bag as my walking around backpack for a 10 day trip to multiple Scandinavian countries. I found it comfortable for a full day of walking around and exploring. The side pockets are roomy and deep enough for a 20oz Yeti water bottle. The straps are thin but substantial. I was able to attach a GoPro mount to either side and it did not move around. I like the internal organization and the outer clips make it easy to stow a jacket when the weather heats up. Would definitely recommend!

This is my second Osprey backpack. The first one has been my every day bag for the better part of a decade. I'm not getting rid of it, but needed a larger bag that could accommodate the size of my laptop without being bulky. Both my laptop and tablet (both in cases) splendidly, and the breathable back pad is fantastic for prolonged wear. Great for day trips, hikes or even just walking around an amusement park or something like that. Good quality nylon and comes traps. I definitely recommend.
