For all the reviews that say it will not fit DeWalt DWS779 they are wrong fits perfect. Out of the box it is spot on .I made several cuts and it was on the money. I measured a board 19 inches and made my line. Took it to the saw and lined up the laser to my line and it cut to the line exact. I measured the board after the cut and it was at 19 inches. Today I installed this laser line light on my Makita DXT. The old laser light wasn’t working and when I came across this I thought I would try it. I’m a professional carpenter and really missed not having the laser line on the saw. The light is easy to see while working in my barn or my shop. I am sure it would be different in direct sunlight. I like the fact that it turns on and off when cutting material. It works so good I have two other saws I will install them on. Now the test will be as to how long will it last. ... show more

I have an old Hitachi miter saw that was handed down to me. Just began using it again and was looking at purchasing a new miter saw with the latest guides and gizmos. Thought I would give this device a try my old saw was still working perfectly. Easy to install and I was surprised how accurate it was. The laser did not hide my cut line and actually helped me to line up my wood better for a more accurate cute. Device came installed with new batteries and an additional 3 batteries as well for later. This is a great and reasonably inexpensive way to increase the accuracy of your saw. It even helps if the laser your saw came with stops working...haha. It installed easy on.my chicago electric 12". The only issue is that the laser line is difficult to see in full sunlight.
