At last,a good fan. Very happy with purchace. I don't have air conditioners,but climate in upstate n.y. is not always warm. This fan gives off a nice QUIET breese and circulates air well. Last year I bought a larger fan,all plastic and looked cheap. The motor stopped after 9 months of minimal use. This fan seems much sturdier and motor sounds strong. Hope it lasts forever.     • Hard to assemble

The fan itself, once assembled, is OK enough. But 1) The instructions are for a slightly different model; 2) there is confusing thread direction; some loosen CCW and some loosen CW - if you miss that and loosen/tighten according to USA standards, you're gonna strip some plastic threads.3) In general assembly is awkward; the base in particular is just hard to hold onto when you start loosening screws and attaching the other parts; also it takes a lot of force, applied awkwardly through your grip while suspending a heavy object (you can't just set it on a table), to pop the front cover on. I managed to assemble the thing, but (for perspective) I've wired and installed fixtures on most of two houses, installed an entire kitchen, etc. But imo anyone who isn't _really_ experienced with assembly is gonna have a tough time, or need assistance ... show more

Great breeze, quiet, easy assembly. Pleased after two weeks daily overnight usage. Time will tell the long term durability. I can usually count on 3 years to 5 years use out of these type of fans. That's okay with me.
