Description

Oscar Schmidt OA10CE mini auditorium acoustic/electric guitars are perfect for people who prefer a smaller-sized body on a full-scale guitar neck. These guitars lend themselves well to beginners and younger players while also suiting accomplished players who require a more articulate-sounding guitar suitable for finger-style playing. OA10CE auditorium acoustic/electric guitars feature spruce or real flame Maple tops with a cutaway Mahogany body, allowing access to an extended range for more dynamic playing, and the active electronics make this guitar ideal for stage performance. Offered with a select Spruce top in solid black or real flame Maple in natural, flame blue or flame yellow sunburst finishes.Shallower than a dreadnought at around 105mm (4.1") and narrower in width, the OA10CE auditorium guitar brings the body closer to the player. As there’s not as much mass to curve your strumming arm around, it feels more intimate and comfortable for stage use too. While losing some of the dreadnought low end, it’s popular for fingerpickers as it’s more likely to have a mid-focussed quality coming through.Features:39.5" long3.5" deep15.25" lower bout11.25" upper bout1 5/8" nut widthGloss finishThree band active EQDie-cast chrome tunersTwo ply bindingAdding value to your purchase, Austin Bazaar bundles your instrument with necessary accessories. • Awesome Guitar - Gigbag way too small!
Style: OA10CE w/ Gig Bag Color: Natural
The guitar is great. Just got it a week before Christmas for my son. Looks great, no flaws, sounds awesome. The only problem is the gigbag carrying case is way too small. It seems everyone complains about this but they keep sending the small size bags. Just wondering if the acoustic is a normal size and the gig bag was made for the smaller body size guitar? I don’t have another acoustic to compare it to. I’ll just purchase a hardshell case soon. I give it 5 star for the guitar craftsmanship quality, sound, and ease of playing. Still brand new, let’s see how it holds up over time. ... show more

  • Great Guitar

Great guitar at a great price.

  • 5 star value guitar but the accessories are not so great.
I have been playing guitar off and on for over 20 years and this guitar is really, really nice for the price. It sounds great, it plays great, and the look is beautiful, the guitar alone is 5 stars for the price. A great and unexpected value. It looks and sounds fantastic for an all laminate guitar. The accessories are not that great though. The bag zipper broke the first day and the tuner battery died after just a few tunings. That being said, the guitar is worth the price without the accessories so I wish I didn’t t have to include them in the review. Also I want to note that there are two versions with different price points based on the material of the fretboard, this guitar which is cheaper , has a manufactured wood fretboard instead of the more expensive all wood. It doesn’t matter to me but it isn’t specified in the description in case that matters to someone else ... show more

  • Washburn Quality
Style: OA10CE w/ Gig Bag Color: Transparent Blue
Lovely guitar with nice sustain and a beautiful finish. I have not plugged it in yet. There was a bit of buzzing on the E string (6th) for the first few days. I let it sit with the box open for a few days before tuning it up because of the difference in the temperatures between the room and the box and guitar. (It was hot outside.) So, doing so, I tuned it up little by little. The buzzing has really cut back. If need be, I would only have to file one fret below that string somewhere near the 12th or 14th fret, slightly. But, the quality seems to keep improving day by day. I think its' a great buy for the money spent. The quality of the guitar is better than I thought it would be, but, then it is a Washburn. ... show more

  • Bad sizing advertisement
Style: OA10CE w/ Gig Bag Color: Natural
The dimensions for this guitar are wrong. The lower bout is 16” and the depth is 4 1/4”. If your looking for a smaller size guitar this is not the one.

Groove not deep enough to hold strings in correct place.

  • A great value if you like the size and cutaway body - And I do
Style: OA10CE w/ Gig Bag Color: Natural
The first one that was sent was heavily damaged structurally, but I couldn't tell exactly how it happened, it may have been in that condition from the factory. While the exchange was simple and easy, the exchange unit I received was either a floor demo or a customer return. It had finish damage(all cosmetic, but alot of scratches and scrapes) and the included clip-on tuner was broken into pieces by someone, and can't be repaired. That part should tell you a lot about how much I like the guitar. I would have sent the not-new one back, but I made the mistake of tuning it up and playing it for a bit before I did. It sounds amazing to me(a very personal assessment, I know,) and plays great(again, very personal.) I've played more expensive acoustic(like 2x or 3x the price) guitars and like this modest budget guitar much better as far as out of the box action, and out of the box tone. So despite the fact that it bothers me that I paid for a "new" instrument and got...well, not that, I'm afraid to send it back because I might not like the playability and tone of the next one so much. To be clear, if this had been listed as "used," with about $30 off due to condition, I would have been super happy with the guitar and the transaction. As it is, I'm still super happy with the guitar itself, I just feel like "new" wasn't an accurate condition description. I also have a Jasmine acoustic, which cost slightly more than half the price of this oscar schmidt. The Jasmine is really nice for the price, but of the two, I like this Oscar Schmidt better, mostly because out of the box, mine had nice(near perfect for me) string action that was a bit lower than the Jasmine(I don't know if this is always the case, luck of the draw maybe?) and the tone sounds more pleasing to me(again luck of the draw?) The Jasmine is another guitar that I have bought that I thought played above it's price. It's not a surprise when 3000 guitar plays and sounds good, but these two budget models have been surprising in the best ways. ... show more

  • If you play guitar, you'd be a fool not to buy this guitar.
It is absolutely beautiful, and all the little extras, such as creative design pick guard, beautiful styled bridge, lots of sweet inlays all over neck and body, which show craftmanship that is above most other guitars costing 4 times the price of this one. The tone is clean and crisp, rather well balanced, action came a little high, but I adjusted that easily with the included allen-wrench tool. Each one is unique, looking different from all the others. I got 3, and each was beautiful and sweet sounding to play. They also throw in several accessories, and it comes with high quality strings too. ... show more
