I've only ever rented kayaks before I decided to purchase my own Oru kayak and paddle. I love them both! Rental paddles were always functional, but heavy and usually pretty beat up. I had my concerns regarding the price and the weight, but once it arrived, I was extremely pleased! It can be separated into 4 pieces (easy for storage in the Oru kayak whilst folded up) and was very light and comfortable during our first few paddles out in the kayaks.     • The paddle is sturdy and does not slip
This kayak paddle works very well. It has infinitely adjustable angle offset of the blades. You can set them at any angle relative to each other, and the basic angles are marked. The paddle is sturdy and does not slip. The paddle blades are held in place on the shafts by detents.
