It fits my XD9 4" with an OLight PL Mini perfectly. As my first holster I can't compare, but it fits secure, no jiggle. Comfortable, I even fell asleep with it on. Haven't had range time with it yet but I have been practicing dry and it works well. The magnet requires a good snapping pull but I don't notice it when drawing. I did see reviews that noted because it secures to the barrel/slide it can cause the round in the chamber to come out of battery if you "accidentally" push down on the pistols grip firmly enough. I feel like it would be more of an issue if your return spring is light (lighter than the factory XD springs). I don't plan to keep one in the chamber so not a concern for me. ... show more

The mechanical retention is outstanding, so intuitive to release as you draw... doesnt slow you down at all. The magnet, however, is too strong IMHO. But since it can be removed, not an issue. I got this for my 4.5 inch SA XDM .45 with a rail mounted laser/light combo. You can adjust it to fit various lights but the one I had wouldnt quite fit. But because I like it so mush, I bought a different liaght/laser that does fit easily. The low ride attachment is too bulky for me to wear in a sitting position although it is great if standing. But Opaz has 3 other attachments available so I mought the clip on paddle style attachment and a standard through the belt attachment. These were 16.00 each direct from opazdefense.com. Just a note.. my walther p99 fits this holster fine using the light/laser that was too bulky when attached to the XDM. Haven't had it long enough to be sure about durability bu it seems very solid I think it will hold up just fine. ... show more

I am really impressed with the design of this holster. As a casual user, I do like the quick release mechanism at the top that enables only the wearer to release the firearm. It is simple and quick to release the catch and access the firearm. It also fit my firearm with attached light perfectly. I also like the magnetic retention mechanism at the bottom that ensures the firearm is fully seated. It does make some noise in both directions and the magnet could be a little less strong, but it doesn't bother me for my use. The warning I will give is that while the double paddle looks really cool with the firearm and the magazine pouch side by side, there is a design flaw that keeps this from being an ideal solution. When you initiate the quick release mechanism to release the firearm, the mechanism flips outward and blocks access to the magazine pouch (pictured). To access the magazine, you have to first close and reset the quick release. But then you can't holster the gun again until you open the release again. It's just not practical and needs some redesign. Luckily my purchase came with the single paddle as well and I just use that instead. So skip the double paddle and just purchase the single for less money. ... show more

    • If you have a Sig P226 and want to use the magnet retention system a little modding is required

Once I had did a bit of filing to the one part of the plastic so the top retention paddle would swing over the trigger it is hands down my favorite holster bar none! Problem is that the top of the holster will hit the front of the Romeo 1 Pro before you have enough room for the top retention paddle to swing over the trigger, about an 1/8 to 3/16th of an inch. Way to fix it is, you just adjust the bottom magnet down till the Romeo 1 Pro touches the holster and won't go any further, then swing the top retention part over and you'll see exactly how much you have to file off the top part that is touching the Romeo 1 Pro before your top retention paddle will go over the trigger. As you file you will have to adjust the magnet down as you file till the retention paddle goes over the trigger and barrel still attaches to the magnet pretty easy. Took me less than 10 minutes to do, once everything fits the way you like I'd take the screws that hold the holster together out one at a time and put some blue locktite on the bolt reinstall and then do the other one, same with the belt part then enjoy for years. Orpaz didn't say this was a fit for my P226 but a few of the reviewer's did which is the reason I bought it, it's a GREAT holster if you don't mind a easy mod to the holster (filing) to perfectly fit your Sig Sauer P226 with a Romeo 1 Pro and a Olight Baldr mini light/laser combo. Very disappointing Definitely does not fit XD 45 The height adjustment screw and plastic slider it is attached to needs to be at least 6mm longer. It falls apart before it is adjusted properly.

Barrel magnet adjustment won't fully adjust to fit a smaller weapon. I like how the holster works and have one for my other handgun, but for the Springfield Xm mod 2, 9mm it won't adjust enough to fit. Pretty expensive compared to others.

the only complaint is i read in the questions it would fit my 5.25 Springfield XDM 10 mm. it is not long enough even full adjusted to fit but the other dimensions fit just fine. this was however in the questions and not the product details so i was mislead by someone else not the company. however they do sell a threaded barrel and subcompact attachment to make it longer or shorter of a fit for just a few bucks and its sold on their website so it was a quick easy fix just changing one part and a longer screw with it. if you have a longer or shorter gun variant it can be made to fit but may not initially and still a great quality holster. dont think ive seen better made to accommodate a light ... show more
