  • Just what I needed
I have neuropathy and arthritis in my hands, and cold makes the tingling and achy feelings worse. These rechargeable, heated gloves were recommended to me by my physical therapist, and they really help. They were an expensive investment, but I’m so glad I bought them (size Small). Sometimes wearing the heated liners for a few minutes - even in the house - makes all the difference, and enables me to use my hands with less pain and tingling. The three temperature settings let me customize the warmth I need, and the Velcro closure at the wrist helps when taking the gloves on and off easily. The full glove design, as opposed to fingertip-less compression gloves, provides soothing heat to all parts of the hand. And the touch pads on the tips of the liner makes them tech ready. The gloves come with both a US and European charger plug. The only downside is that there is a warning on the packaging that the lithium batteries for the gloves can’t be taken on planes, so I won’t be able to take these on international trips. ... show more

  • For The Interested Motorcycle Rider
These just showed up on 11JAN21 and I rode with them this morning to work when it was 23F/-5C. I have Barkbusters VPS on my 1250GSA with heated grips. In other words, wind only hits my knuckles. Normally on mornings like this, my fingers are close to numb by the end of my morning commute and I'm ready to get off the bike. I purchased these for cold-weather riding because they are two parts - heated inserts and outer shells. I figured if the outer shells are not optimal for manipulating motorcycle controls, then I can always use the inserts in a larger riding glove. I ONLY USED THE HEATED INSERTS THIS MORNING - no outer shells at 23F/-5C - and it was easily tolerable for the 15 minute ride. Seriously. Coupled with my heated grips and Barkbusters, I was comfortable and probably could've ridden another 20 minutes with only the inserts. At the moment, the outer shells are a bit too puffy for me to confidently manipulate the controls on my bike. No fault of Ororo - I am just very picky when it comes to feeling my controls. I am sure it can be done and I intend on giving it another try once the outer shells are broken in. I will likely update this review after more riding time. It should be below 40F during the day with the morning rides in the low 20's all week. Perfect time to test these gloves. Fit is comfortably snug and the dexterity of the inner shell is impressive. The battery pack is on the palm-side of the wrist and does not seem to interfere with regular use. The placement of the battery makes the weight of the battery barely noticeable. Very comfortable. These gloves look and feel to be very high quality. I am an avid outdoorsman and some of the best, high-cost, non-heated gloves pale in comparison to the craftmanship of these. As of this review, all facets of these gloves are 5-star. I will likely update this review at the end of the week. More to follow. *UPDATE* 16JAN21 I've put about 3 hours of total riding time with these gloves - temps as low as 21F and as high as 40F. Since then, I lowered my original 5-star rating to 4-stars. Here's why. Power button is easily turned on or off when the gloves are inside a jacket sleeve. The sleeve of my riding jacket was tight enough to press the button. I prefer my gloves on the inside of my sleeve. This would cause the heating element to turn off or change heat settings while I was riding. Loosening my sleeve would allow the frigid air into the jacket - stultifying the point of cold weather riding gear. When the outer shells are used with the inner gloves, the set is too bulky to manipulate motorcycle controls. Aside from the minimum dexterity, the bulk of the over-the-wrist portion was too big to be tucked in the jacket sleeve and too small to comfortably go over the jacket sleeve. The real reason why I dropped 1-star is because the inner lining of the heated gloves has already starting separating from the outer layer. The gloves are still in tact, but with frequent use, I can see these gloves becoming a pain to remove or coming apart all together. Regardless, if I am careful when I remove them, I'm sure I have several comfortable riding seasons ahead. All in all, I'm still happy with them and will keep them. I know these gloves were not exclusively designed for motorcycle riding. However, I will likely use the inserts with a more ADV-style outer glove while using the entire Ororo glove set when I'm hunting or camping. Still recommended. ... show more

  • The Best Gloves For Warm Winter Wear
I use these gloves outside working on a film crew. The inner gloves with the battery allow me to work with fine equipment. They also have a grip pad in the palm. When I am not handling something delicate, but need to stay warm, with more protection, the outer , heavier gloves are ideal. This combo set would be great to use on a motorcycle, or snow mobile The gloves are very well made, offering warmth, comfort and good battery life. The glove sets and two batteries come in a convenient carry case that is practical and well made. The charger provides two connections, enabling you to charge both batteries at once. This is one of the best bits of winter work gear I own. ... show more

  • Size runs small. Why no XL available on Amazon?!?
These gloves seem decent quality, but are too small. The outer shell is more like my size. The inner liners are tight and them both together are too tight. Them seem decently warm, I was expecting them to be warmer though with all that I have heard about this company through other people. I'm VERY DISAPPOINTED that they do not sell XL on Amazon. That makes no sense since they have XL on their website. These are made in China and were shipped from China to me. Probably part of the reason why they run small. ... show more

  • Doesn’t measure up to other Ororo
Size: Small Color: Black & Sharkskin Grey
I have multiple other pieces from Ororo and they all work fantastic so despite some reviews I decided to give these a try because I have wanted them for a bit and finally saw a bit of a sale. They do get warm but it seems like it is almost all on the back of the hand and is not very warm overall. They are also very long and kept turning off under my coat. Even when they didn’t, I felt virtually no warmth in the fingers. To be fair, I never tried with the outer gloves because I wanted the slim profile of the under gloves with the heated component. Overall, I would recommend other from the Ororo brand but these unfortunately fell short. ... show more

  • It works -- keeps my hands warm.
As I'm getting near 60 years old (yikes -- that can't be right, can it?), my circulation in my fingers is getting worse. Skiing, even using hand warmers, meant two-three runs before popping in to warm up. These gloves keep my fingers warm. Once you use them the first time, then it is pretty easy. The only complaint is, the two glove system means my grip isn't as solid (they are quick thick), but it's a worthwhile trade-off to have warm fingers. Recommended them to my very skinny daughter --she loves to ski, but hates the cold. She's used them in Colorado for both hiking and skiing this winter. Really liked them as well. ... show more
