  • Good Transfer Pump
Sollid yet light in weight. Bult well and easily assemble without instructions. Once water makes it up suction tube and gets to the pump center it pumps out about a half to a full quart of water/fluid per turn. Rotates smoothly with little effort. Stores away easily without taking too much space. Great emergency pump. Little to no maintenance no worries of it rusting up after use or if it sits for long periods of time. ... show more

  • Hand pump
Works great, easy to assemble, perfect for my 55 gallon drums

  • Breaks down to a small case
I got this to pump out used oil from my 55-gallon drum, and it's doing a good job. The suction tube is awesome, it extends from about 12" to 35", so I can easily reach the bottom of the barrel. It’s probably not made for thicker oils, but used and thinned oil gets pumped out easily. The pump material feels tough and durable. It’s made from a really hard plastic, so I don’t have to worry about it getting rusty or degrading. I’ve used it several times now, and it still looks brand new. Overall, I'd recommend this pump. As a word of warning, look up what fluid you're intending to use this with. Then see if there's any long term damage to using a polypropylene pump. ... show more

  • Works, but a bit unsteady
The media could not be loaded. Pros: -As you can see, the pump does work. Tested it on an old 55 gallon used oil drum. -Pumps at a decent flow rate Cons: -The turn handle attaches via a set screw that is small. I can see this being a point of failure in the near future. I'm not sure why they didn't just key the handle with a groove. -The biggest con is again with a set screw, this time with the screw that holds the pump from turning when attached to the drum. This is a set screw that puts pressure on the plastic tube. I was afraid to actually tighten too tight and go through the plastic tube. Therefore, as you can see, the pump was spinning while pumping and required two people. At a market value over $50, I'd expect to see the design improved for a bit more longevity on the noted areas. ... show more

  • Orion Motor Tech 55 Gallon Drum Pump review
Pump works as advertised. All plastic, so no rust issues. It's not very heavy, but doesn't need to be. Easy to insert in your barrel or container and just start pumping it out.
