This may be marketed to children but I as a 31-year-old woman had a great time manipulating the clay in my hands, mixing colors and finishes, and creating little trinkets. Is it going to blow your mind or make anything Etsy worthy? Absolutely not. But it is a creative outlet and provides some stress relief and distraction I needed and I am very happy I got it.

I got this for my daughter's 8th birthday. It has easily been the top gift that she has loved. She's very creative and likes to do things with her hands. Her being able to make something out of clay in her words "AMAZINGLY AWESOME". She made a little bowl and plate. It's comes with plenty of clay so she's used it in an interesting way. She outlined a person on paper then is using the clay to fill it in. When she's finished, I'll have to remove it careful from the paper to bake but so far it's pretty cool. This is way better than a toy or electronic device. I love that she's being creative and really enjoying it.

The other day, when I need some peace and quiet from a long day of hauling 3 kids around town and my daughter gets bored, this becomes my life saver. It kept them busy for more than an hour, my daughter just led his brother to play with this together, which is super rare, and had a pretty good brother and sister time together. The kit has very good instructions, my 7yo daughter was able to read and understand what needs to be done, and it includes all the components that's needed. Both of them came up with some very "interestingly designed dishes", and they both had a lot of fun. Clean up is not that bad either.

I got this for my 8yo daughter to do with her 6yo cousin and they both really enjoyed it. The box came with everything pictured, which I thought was impressive for the price. Because there was only one silicone bowl they had to take turns on that steps but it was fine since it took time to roll out the clay. The girls did find that rolling pin was a little hard to use, and there was also only one - we ended up using a silicone roller that I had in the kitchen. The colored clay was vibrant and looked nice; the girls liked the twisting part. The tools it came with worked well for cutting out designs, and the girls absolutely loved the stamp and letters. The trays baked up fine for us and the colors stayed true. The gold and silver paint worked as expected of acrylic paint; the girls both needed help painting the words, but the little brush worked well. They were able to paint the edges themselves with mixed results. We tried regular color paint on a few and it worked ok but wasn't as opaque. Overall this was a fun craft for both girls and I would definitely both recommend it and repurchase.

My kids love art projects and this really hit the spot. there's tons of accessories to decorate your clay dishes with. the kids loved molding their own dishes, letting it cure and then painting it themselves. it kept them busy for all morning and then some. We had enough left over for the nieces to come over to make some as well. it's a great kit to help with their artistic outlet. plenty of colors and options to decorate your dishes with.

Many thanks to you, fellow crafter, as well as the seller for the chance to share my experience with Original Stationery Clay Craft DIY Trinket Dish Studio. I worked with Sculpey before (many years ago) and discovered it's a fun, forgiving material for kids and adults to achieve good results using very few skills. But it's also a use it or lose it proposition--it's not easy to store unused materials in good working condition for long--so buying in bulk isn't really a great option for an occasional dabbler like me. The advantage of this kit over raw polymer clay is pure logistics. Herein lie the materials, tools, and the inspo to succeed with these projects all in one box, all in one day--grab & go. Everything inside is in great condition, malleable and moist, and included spare bags will hold leftovers short-term. I especially appreciate the letterpress, dough board, and the silicone form, which will all be handy with other projects in the future.

This kit provides polymer clay to make the smallish trinket bowls. The clay is brightly colored. There are many small packets of clay, so you don’t have to open up a large quantity. This minimizes waste. Letters are provided so you can imprint your message or name on your creation. You bake this clay to harden it. The silicone mold helps to keep the bowl in the right shape. This is a nice kit because everything is provided, including paint to add gold highlights. It isn't too difficult for eight-year-olds. Recommended.
