So the honey is a pale unstained wood. Rest assured! Quality isn’t the worst but the nature of the construction doesn’t make it super durable so don’t buy this if you plan to move it around a bunch. Using it more as a sculptural decorative piece and When set up it really looks beautiful. Item arrived a but scratched but I bought via amz warehouse and caught a really awesome deal so not really bummed about it as they are easily sandable if I wanna get neurotic. Just wanted to assure everyone that the honey is the paler of the two wood grains. Enjoy! ... show more

You can't really tell from the photos that surface is rough to the feel, and a matte, appearance, not the smooth satin sheen of similar screens I have purchased in the past. It is essentially unfinished wood with a light, unevenly saturated stain. Otherwise, the quality is good, color as described, except uneven. I love the practicality of these screens, but the price has risen very dramatically, and the quality is much lower. ... show more
