    • Steep price but really good results so far
How to describe something that varies between one person to the next. I use many Oribe products. I use them for my fine curly hair, but also for my daughter’s straight, fine, color-treated hair. This product worked for both. I followed instructions and found that it did one thing for us both - gave us volume and softness. It did give us shine, but not substantially more than their other products. The softness for my daughter’s hair was amazing and noticeable even from afar. Mine was as about normal. But the volume was notable. Very different from some of her other products. Easy to apply and use and doesn’t weigh down hair whatsoever. I used it because my hair was breaking too easily. I have not experienced less hair shedding yet, but I have noticed less breakage. Time will tell if this helps in the long run even after styling. In the meantime we use will be using it. Question is, will we be repurchasing after it’s out since the price is steep? My daughter definitely wants to because she sees instant improvement and loves how her colored hair looks. I on the other hand am waiting to make sure it has improved my hair to the point I’m noticing less smaller pieces of hair when I brush, which indicates breakage. I did notice it is better, but I want to make sure it lasts. The glass bottle is nice, but the lid remains loose without finagling it. That should be fixed since it can come off if you grab by the lid causing it to drop and break. The pump works smoothly. The smell is wonderful and it stays in your hair even after a couple of days. It feels light weight but makes a difference. I do love it so far, but the price is still a bit steep. The bottle is beautiful. Time will tell. ... show more

This is the second Oribe product that I have tried because I already use their root touchup spray (which is excellent). I do color my hair regularly and blow dry it at least three times a week so I try to use good products to protect it. The Oribe brand has an excellent reputation and I know it is sold in many high-end salons. I just used this for the first time by applying it after I washed my hair and blow dried it immediately after. I think it did a very nice job in noticeably controlling the frizz that I struggle with. The scent is very pleasant and not overpowering or flowery at all. Only consistent use will tell me if it does the hair repair/strengthening that is described here but I am happy to keep using it to find out. My only hesitation on this product is that the price is very high, but not outrageously so compared to similar products from well known salon brands. Since I did not need to use much of it ( my hair is shoulder length) I think the bottle will last me a month or two and if I continue to see a noticeable difference, I will buy it again. ... show more

    • Trusted Brand! Great Scent! Highly Recommended!
I am a long time Oribe product user, so I was very excited to try out this new Bond Builder Treatment Elixir! I already use the Hair Alchemy Treatment Serum from this line of products. I'm not sure I know the full difference between the two except that the leave in treatment elixir seems to be a more intensive treatment that works to strengthen all the types of hair bonds for more severely damaged or weak hair. It has the same Oribe signature scent that I already love! The product is somewhat thick and is meant to be applied to damp hair and left in to dry. I have long curly hair and I use 5 pumps of this for roots to mids and another 5 pumps for mids to ends. It goes on and absorbs quickly without making my hair feel stiff or tacky. I let my hair air dry and I think this product does improve the softness and manageability. I expect it will be a month or two of consistent use before I notice any difference in breakage. I appreciate that this product is vegan, silicone-free, sulfate-free, phthalte-free & cruelty-free. As far as pricing goes, yes this product is absolutely expensive. It's in-line with other Oribe products that I already use. For me personally, ORIBE saved my hair after decades of chemical treating, color treating and heat drying left it thin, brittle, and lackluster. I went on a mission to restore my hair. After a couple of years of using quality ORIBE products, stopping both chemical treatments and most all heat tools, my hair recovered and it is now the longest and healthiest it's ever been. And I'm over 50 so that's saying something!!! I love having the best hair of my life at over 50, it is possible! My hair is now long, thick, shiny, and curly but still soft. And yes I have some grey but it shines like silver in the sunlight. I don't pay for pricey haircuts, color, highlights, straightening, etc. so I justify the price splurge on ORIBE products. First, I absolutely love Oribe products. I’ve used the shampoos & conditioners for years with great results. This seems to be on par with that! Arrived in time, in good shape. Original packaging. Not much scent. My hair is pretty thick and healthy to start. I use about 4-5 pumps on shoulder-length hair after towel drying, then blow dry. I didn’t see much noticeable change right away, but after 3-4 days of consistent use, my hair does seem smoother. I plan to keep using it! Would recommend. ... show more

I am a level 9 blonde and constantly trying to make sure I'm doing what I can to keep my hair healthy despite the salon bleach. I also use a lot of heat styling weekly. My hair has a tendency to break towards the mids and ends. I washed and towel-dried my hair and then used 5 pumps and worked the product through my mids and ends. The fragrance is so nice.. the bergamot/jasmine is very feminine and light but elegant. The consistency once you work it into the hair doesn't feel oily or greasy and my hair is fine, so I am very sensitive to anything that weighs me down. It just soaked in and I didn't feel like when I use hair oil, which coats the hair and feels heavy. This is different. The formula uses moringa seed, arginine, malic acid and matrix rebuild hydrogen, ionic, and disulfide bonds which sounds like a mouthful but I really do feel like I noticed a big difference when I did my usual blow out compared to prior blowouts. It was smoother, softer and I could see fewer flyaways. I see this being something that I will continue to use to fortify my hair's health on a regular basis especially given the bleach that I subject it to every couple of months!! ... show more
