Easily the best electric toothbrush I've used. I have a Sonicare, two Oral B IoS, and an older version of this one. Let's start with the obvious. This does a better job of cleaning my teeth than the others. And it's much easier to keep clean than the IoS. It has a standard wall plug for the charger not a USB plug. I like that. And this version has three speeds. I use only the highest speed but it's nice to have the others. It's made in Germany. The Sonicare's made in China. And it's reasonably priced. What's not to like? It doesn't come with a travel case. I recommend getting one. ... show more

I just switched from sonicare as it kept getting moldly. I think this one cleans my teeth better at least they feel cleaner. It is loud though and maybe not as gentle so some people may not like that. It does have settings to make it less intense though. Overall, I think really good value and I’m glad that I switched.     • A great, refreshing brush!
My dental office recommended an Oral-B rechargeable electric toothbrush and, after reading reviews, I chose this Pro 1000 Rechargeable Toothbrush. It fits its description well. The light indicators telling you when to charge it and when it's fully charged are quite helpful, and I believe those help the battery last for a longer period of time. My husband has the 500 and always keeps his on the charger because he doesn't know when it's dying. The 3-stage brushing firmness is nice, and the features work like it says they will; the brush will stop if you brush too hard. One thing in some of the reviews I read was concern about a slippery handle. I do find that mine can be a bit slippery with the Pro 1000. The 500 has a bit of a rubbery handle, but the 1000 is a smooth, sleek handle. I'm sure that would not be too big of an issue if you keep your mouth closed the entire time you brush; unfortunately I don't. :) Even slippery, it's not insurmountable to manage. I always dry my toothbrush well, including the charging hole at the bottom, because I've found liquid can get in there at times and water will sometimes seep out of the connection where the brush head attaches; both of these cause little watery/tooth-pasty circles wherever you store your brush if you do not dry it well.     • Works well but is noisy
Does a good job cleaning my teeth but it is nosier than my several years old Oral-B which was also more comfortable to hold. The older model, in fact, is still running so I bought more new brush heads and gave it to my husband. I travel with this and it will hold a charge for at least a week. I haven't tried using it without the charger for over a week's time. I rated it a 4 out of 5 due to the noise level. ... show more

It's always Oral-B for me. Period. It's the only electric toothbrush brand I've ever owned. I love how well it cleans my teeth, and even though there are 3 cleaning settings, I only use the first one that it's set to when it turns on. Here's a way to save the battery so that you can get years of use from it. I have mine charged with a wife plug. The timer on the plug is set to charge it only for an hour at night. That's all it needs. It doesn't need to be charging 24 hours a day every single day. That's a sure way to wear out the battery. Do this, and you won't have to buy another one for many years to come. I have been using a colgate spinbrush for years. I had no clue how fast an electric toothbrush should spin! I am so excited to have this! I did have to charge it for 24 hours, so don't worry if it takes time initially. I got the pink for $40 and am thrilled with the price. It does alert you every 30 seconds. I am happy it does not shut off after 2 minutes. I am brushing for longer than 2 minutes, but the brush does let me know how long I am brushing. It seems like 2 minutes goes by quickly. I got one of these from Walmart that was broken. Amazon saved the day! I have had this for 3 days, and I already feel like my mouth is cleaner!     • Gives an unbelievable cleaning!
My dentist said I was brushing my teeth too hard and really wasn't even getting them cleaned as well as they could be. So he recommended that I get an electric toothbrush. With a pressure sensor, was most important. So after looking at all the options, I choose this one and I've got to tell you- once I tried it - I will NEVER go back to a regular toothbrush!! The cleaning this gives is amazing. Having a touch of OCD & needing things 'cleaned well' - you won't know your teeth weren't 100% clean, until you brush them with this lol. I will say, it takes an overnight to completely charge and stop the blinking green charging light. The settings also take a bit to get used to. The first one is for regular cleaning. I skipped the second push for sensitive cleaning and clicked it a third time for the 'polishing' setting to finish off. Excellent! Also the push button to turn it on and off and change the settings is a little tricky to use, especially if your woman who has nails. But I won't detract stars for that, cause that's a personal thing that I happened to have. Overall, I would highly recommend getting this for exceptional daily teeth cleaning!! ... show more
