    • Lovely Little Book/Gift for Readers Who Also Enjoy Journaling
This nearly square, linen-bound journal packs a lot in a small package. Most of the 210 pages provide book lovers blank spaces to record and remember the books that they have read, plus pages for listing future reads. What I liked about it: **The physical book feels good in the hand. The cover is understated quality. The cottony-feeling pages inside are richly dyed, thoughtfully laid out and even includes 2 ribbon bookmarks. **The preprinted passages are also thoughtful -- lists of Oprah's most memorable books, tips for starting your own book club and more. **Majority of the Journal Pages Are Blank. Each book can be highly personalized. **Helpful Writing Prompts. Hmmm...some of these prompts will make you think hard before answering -- "The most important book anyone should read." What Could Be Better: **The Oprah-Empire Marketing Is Heavy-handed -- There are photos of Oprah surrounded by books, two intro passages signed by Oprah, pages highlighting Oprah's book club and a listing of all the books it has featured over the years. There's also a shameless plug urging book lovers to visit Oprah's website to learn more about how to live their best lives through branded membership, products and events. While fans of the Oprah brand will find this book format familiar, other people may find it off-putting and heavy-handed. **About 40% (87 pages) of the journal are Dedicated to Book Clubs -- Sure you can repurpose these pages as you like; but not being a book clubby kind of person, I would've preferred that less of the journal centered on book club activities. On the other hand, if you are involved in book clubs, perhaps these pages will be the some of the most useful parts of the book for you. If you or someone in your life enjoys reading and journaling, I recommend this lovely little book. This little journal is perfect for bibliophiles! Any book lover will love this as well. It’s like Goodreads but in printed and bound journal form. There are pages to keep track of books your book club has read and also wants to read. Books you’ve read on your own and also ones you still want to read. And a list of over 100 Oprah’s Book Club selections over the years. There are also spaces to reflect on what each book meant to you or what you took away from it, favorite quotes, where you were when reading it, etc. And also what folks in your book club liked or did not like about each book in that section. This is a beautifully bound book that really is meant for a book lover or someone who wants to be. I am not a reader but I do have time each day that I feel that I waste and want to do something more meaningful for myself with that time. So I selected this journal just to see what it was about. It’s a thoughtful blank journal with prompts you to recall books that you have read, the effects they had on you, the specific memories you keep tucked away about the book, etc. There are sections for reading if you are a book club member and a section if you read alone, each page has a reflection from Oprah on some passage or book that impacted her life. There are many books referenced that I haven’t even heard of, so lots of great suggestions for someone like me who is just beginning a reading journey. Nice and high quality book journal. However, I would like more pages with motivational phrases from Oprah. Also is smaller than expected, but actually cute. I think is a bit overpriced for what it is.

Great quality journal for keeping track of the books you have read. It also comes with tips for starting your own book club and facts about Oprah's book club. It's a great way to keep track of they way a book made you feel or the introspection it sparked.
