Bought a boat from a guy, and he had recently replaced the winch (within the last 3 years) with this same brand. Might have been the salt environment, but the strap failed on me this season (thankfully not on the highway or anything). This was an exact replacement, so for the price I can’t really complain. Purchased to make a draw board. Like others have stated the locking lever struggles to latch and stay in place out of the box. Put a coup!e drops of oil between lever and frame and no more issues. For its intended use I am very happy with what I got!
