  • Great food!
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 20 Pound (Pack of 1)
I have been using Open Farm for several years, with great results. My dogs love it, they have perfect skin, teeth and coats on it- it is well tolerated and easy to digest. Stools are small and firm, and they have never had digestive issues on this food. As a CVT I have recommended it to clients as well, and have never received a complaint from the ones who have tried it. ... show more

  • Great Kibble
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
I recently switched my dog's diet to Open Farm's RawMix Ancient Grains Front Range Recipe, and it has been an absolute game-changer. This RawMix blend, which uniquely combines kibble, bone broth, and freeze-dried raw ingredients, has not only piqued my dog's interest but also his appetite. He absolutely loves this kibble! The quality of the humanely raised protein and the inclusion of non-GMO fruits and veggies are apparent in his enthusiastic response at meal times. The blend is inspired by the wild, which seems to resonate well with my dog, offering him a taste of nature. What I appreciate most is the thoughtfulness behind the ingredients - they are carefully selected and beneficial for his health. Seeing my dog so happy and energetic after his meals gives me peace of mind that I'm providing him with a nutritious, high-quality diet. Open Farm's commitment to sustainability and ethical sourcing is the cherry on top, making this product not just good for my pet, but also for the planet. ... show more

  • It's Good
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
I switched to the Raw Mix from Ancient Grains Small Dog. My dog love the small dog food but I don't care for the smell of it. I thought this might be different. It's not (but she still likes it, so. I was worried about the raw mix being too large for a small dog (11 lbs.). As you can see in the side by side photo, there's only a small difference, so this food is fine for small dogs. I gave 4 stars because of the price, for only a 3.5 lb. bag. As you can see in the photo, there is very little "raw". The kibble is the same as the regular ancient grains that comes in a 4 lb. bag that I can get for $18 or so. I don't think this bag will even last my dog a whole month. I'll probably go back to the regular Ancient Grains. Seems to be a good food & my dog likes it but this price for a TINY amount of "RAW" is a huge rip off. ... show more

  • Picky Eater Spoiled Maltipoo Approved
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My maltipoo puppy is spoiled and a horribly picky eater but he was obsessed the moment I came through the door with this one. We had trouble transitioning him from the horrible brand the breeder was feeding him. He was allergic to it and it was giving him gut issues. So the last few weeks we’ve been trying different foods to see which he liked and what was actually good and healthy for a puppy. Blue buffalo made him horribly sick so I was a bit desperate to find a new HEALTHY brand for my baby. I was happy when someone recommended this brand and I saw all the good reviews. I mixed the kibble in with his wet food (rice, chicken, pumpin, vitamins, etc) I make and another kibble from Nature’s logic that he seems to enjoy and he literally cleared the entire bowl and was walking around for a good hour with one of the freeze dried chunks in his mouth lol. He ate and licked the entire bowl clean! The size of the kibble wasn’t too big for him to chew with him only being 4 months. And he genuinely seemed so much happier and energetic after he ate so it’s safe to say he was satisfied with the quality. We played for a good hour. He was bouncing off the walls happy after he ate. Then he took a nice long nap. So far it seems he hasn’t had any digestion issues but the way we transitioned it in I don’t foresee any digestion issues. I’m really so happy we finally found a brand my puppy loves that’s good for him!!! If my baby is happy I’m happy. Will be sticking with this choice for a while. ... show more

  • Good food
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
Both my GSD and boxer like this food. I purchased it as I was looking for a food with more omega 3’s and not as pricey as the brand I’ve been buying. I will continue to purchase both foods as the dogs do prefer the taste of the other brand a bit more

  • Brought grain free by mistake
Flavor Name: Prairie Recipe Size: 3.5 Pound (Pack of 1)
My dogs have not had ancient grains the entire time I’ve owned them. I accidentally bought the wrong food and poured it in their container without realizing. Now my one dog has a tummy ache every day. So my advice to you if your dog eats grain free, stay on the grain free.
