Good quality, thick paper. My acrylic markers don't bleed through. Most white, light color and metallic gel pens look good on this paper. I particularly recommend pairing this sketchbook with Gelly Roll Moonlight pens, which I used to make the dot/line doodle. The mandala was drawn with acrylic markers and a Pilot Gold Marker. I like the blank, hard cover which can be drawn on, or decorated with stickers. I glued the doodle to the cover and "laminated" it with clear packing tape to protect it. I also like the small size for portability and travel, and the attached elastic strap keeps it closed/secured in my bag. ... show more

I thought this was bigger, but it is the perfect size to doodle and tangle! I got the white pens and metallic pens to enhance the experience! Happy Customer, even though I goofed in the size. Great product, also has a nice elastic band to keep it closed.

This is like a photo album which is not what I was expecting. I thought I ordered a pad of good black craft paper. However, I am pleasantly surprised and think I will use it to test media for painting and drawing. Great way to keep samples and drawings!

    • Paper pills up with heavy coloring from gel pens

Perfect size, my daughter loved receiving this. The only complaint is that the paper pills up like an old sweater after heavy coloring with gelly roll gel pens. When she colors an areas larger than a quarter in her art, the paper begins to come apart. Not completely creating a hole but more like you have erased too much on regular paper and little paper pills bring texture to her drawing where she wants it to be smooth and solid colored.
