This is a replacement for the identical item I purchased with my new vest. My vest got wet because I left it in the uncovered boat during a rain event...oops! Expensive mistake on my part. The vest was activated by the water but did not dissolve completely because it was only a small amount of water. I took the disc and got it soaking wet to see if it would dissolve and it did. So I know it works. I will say when re-arming the green "ready to go" button does not appear until the cartridge is screwed into the vest.
