Overall the vest is as advertised. That said, I'm 6'1 and about 240 lbs and the vest barely fits me so if a person is larger than that, this vest may not be the best for you. It is lightweight, very cost effective and stores easily so I do recommend the vest.

The kids used them well during our trip to Upper Peninsula MI for swimming in Lake Superior and kayaking. For kayaking, a tailored kayaking vest would be better and not ride up. However these worked without any great nuisance.

My 5 year old is about 65lbs and this youth size life jacket fits but definitely wouldn't fit next year it's very snug!! Size up I guess , yes I know you need life jact / vest to be snug in order for them to work properly but this is wayyy to tight!

We didn’t like that the back was shorter than the front! Pictures didn’t show that, & it keeps riding up on the kids, even though we tightened the straps- poor design- wouldn’t buy again.
