Was a tight fit

Overall the vest is as advertised. That said, I'm 6'1 and about 240 lbs and the vest barely fits me so if a person is larger than that, this vest may not be the best for you. It is lightweight, very cost effective and stores easily so I do recommend the vest.

Works as advertised for general purpose

The kids used them well during our trip to Upper Peninsula MI for swimming in Lake Superior and kayaking. For kayaking, a tailored kayaking vest would be better and not ride up. However these worked without any great nuisance.

Great but back strap doesn't stay in place and hold it down unless tightened tight

The bottom strap that wraps around the back doesn't stay up. That's my only complaint. You can tighten and re-tighten and it never stays in place. It goes down and then is on the childs skin, so unless they are wearing a shirt to sun shirt, it may irritate their skin. IT happens when they jump in to the water or jump around in the water. Other than that strap it works well and feel they are secure and safe in it especially when we go to the beach. I just make sure they always have a shirt on them.

Runs small

I ordered a youth. The size limit it really 55-88 not 50-90. These fit very small and don’t have much room for adjustment. My 7 and 9 year olds could hardly fit them. I know they are supposed to be snug but these almost wouldn’t buckle on normal sized children that are 20 pounds under the max weight limit.
