Overall the vest is as advertised. That said, I'm 6'1 and about 240 lbs and the vest barely fits me so if a person is larger than that, this vest may not be the best for you. It is lightweight, very cost effective and stores easily so I do recommend the vest.

This jacket was surprisingly affordable despite it being a 3x size. It is adjustable and comfy and fit both myself and my husband with ease and while we are both size 3x we have very different shapes. Used it for wave running and it worked perfect. Love it!

I am 6'1" and weigh about 150lbs, and this fits me just fine. It's a little short, but I got this for kayaking purposes so it gives me plenty of room to position my legs. It otherwise feels awkward when standing up. I would like to point out that this is pretty insulating of body heat - you're going to feel warm pretty fast in this. I have no doubt this will support my weight. Though the bottom two straps should be able to accommodate most body sizes, my primary complaint is the top strap, which has a useless amount of adjustment. You only get maybe 2 inches of adjustment. It's enough for me personally, but I'm slender. A chesty woman may need to leave it un-buckled, which I figure would compromise its safety. This isn't exactly a fashionable product, so I don't see the point in wearing something ugly for safety purposes if it doesn't work. All that being said, this is a great product for the price for those of you who have a slim upper-body and want to just appease boating laws. If you're not sure if your upper body will fit, I'd say don't take the chance and just look elsewhere. ... show more
