  • Decent phone
Good enough for its price. Works well, still using.

  • Phone Great so Far
The phone was as described. Everything looked brand new except one minor imperfection. There was a faint scratch in the screen that was only visible with the screen off and held at just the right angle. WiFi, Bluetooth, cameras, speakers, mic all worked well. I use Cricket for service, so it works well on the AT&T network. The user interface is a little adjustment for back, home, etc. that were different than my LG G5 but I like it. The popup selfie camera is an interesting feature. Since I don't take a lot of selfie's, I don't have any concerns about the extra moving parts associated with that. It doesn't include the original case, screen protector or charger from OnePlus but that was stipulated in the description. The supplied charger is a 3.0A (15W) which does charge as fast as the OnePlus 30W charger would. The supplied charger does meet the product description, so no complaints. Just make sure you understand that before purchasing. ... show more

  • Black Crunch issue
I got this phone for 2 main reasons.1) The Front Facing camera and giving me the entire front screen. 2) The 256GB and 12GB of RAM. Its a refurbished item so was expecting some scratches and stuff, but I got something different. Everything is great. The only issue is the black levels on the phone. I have the "Black Crunch" issue where the screen has problems displaying light to dark gradients. I'm using an app called Screen Balance to somewhat fix this, but the main issue still remains. This may may be fixed by replacing the screen, but I'm not too sure. I'm not thrilled to spend more just to fix the black levels to an uncracked screen. That's just me, but others have had this problem as well. It would have been 5 stars considering it is refurbished, but 4 is what I'm giving it. It's probably a One Plus problem especially if this was a really good screen by the manufacturer and not the seller's responsibility. Yet again I don't think the phone I got was properly examined and fixed. ... show more

  • Great battery life and camera
I love this phone! I came from an LG V30. It worked fine but was just slow and old. This one is so much faster and the camera is awesome! Ive fine photos and video. The 4k videos are quite large, but so much clearer than my V30. Having 60fps on video makes things really smooth. Even the front camera is crisp and clear. I love the poo up feature. There was no bloatware installed so I didn't have to disable or remove anything. It has gobbs of memory and storage so it can hold a lot and it's quick about switch apps. The price on a refurb phone was great and much less than retail. It came with fast charger and it seems to work well. I get a quick charge in about 15 minutes and I'm good for several hours. The battery life is decent. I'm a heavy user all day. I can usually get about 16 to 18 hours before I have to panic and plug it in. On a light use day for me, I get easily 16 hours with plenty of battery left over. On heavy use days I get 16 hours with about 13% to 25% left over. Even at 15% left over with battery saver turned on I can use it solidly for another hour of screen time. If ycsn get a hold of this phone take it. ... show more

  • Amazing phone, straight talk friendly
This phone is amazing. After looking at the other 5G based phones with at least 8 GB ram (Asus, Nubia, Razer 2) that were in my range, I'm very glad I went with the McLauren. As you can see from my screenshot, Straight Talk loves it too (still shows 4g tho....?), No special changes to APN settings (literally popped my sim in and voila). Not a scratch or dent to be seen, phone is pristine). Only downer wasn't the phone, but the glass cover the seller (tried... Failed) installed. Both ends were bubbled (said it was uv kind). Glad I ordered one too (yay no bubbles now). This may be the last phone I buy for a bit. If you're thinking of getting this phone, don't.... Just do it, you won't be sorry. Edit... Moved to at&t and moved to an LG velvet as this won't do 5g on at&t network. ... show more

  • Fingerprint scanning doesn't work on most renewed models!
USED/RENEWED BUYERS BEWARE! This is a Great phone, but there is an issue that plagues MANY of the models you find renewed or used. The fingerprint scanner will not work. It is a known hardware issue in the forums. Ive had to return two due to this as I use my thumbprint to access almost everything. I'm hoping the replacement I'm sent this time will not have this issue as well, but I suspect that 99% of the renewed models do not have functioning fingerprint scanning. My older mod Oneplus 7 Pro has never had any issues with the fingerprint scanning. Seems to be isolated to Mclaren models, which are now discontinued partnership models. TLDR: Beautiful Fast Phone - broken fingerprint scanning on used models usually. ... show more
