I got this in hopes it would be good enough to run on a rimfire for varmint control and that's where it started out. To my surprise, this thermal comes out swinging against higher end varieties I have in clarity, definition, and features that these dubbed "higher end" thermals don't possess. After running it on a rimfire for a while, i moved it to a centerfire for hogs (and to test if it would hold up to the recoil). I honestly can't say enough good things about it at this price point. It feels quality. Buttons are tactile and easy to feel in the dark (non gloved hands). Battery life is as decent as you can expect on a thermal. It uses 18650 batteries that are easy to acquire, it has a myriad of color pallets to choose from. I like black hot by default, but the night mode which has a green/black tint background and white heat markers makes for quick ID in open fields which i like a lot also and i don't have that feature on my other models. It has a gyro and screen display so you can see your tilt and cant. The settings and controls are very easy to access and manipulate on the fly as you're sitting in behind the scope. Zeroing it is simple and intuitive, and it has multiple configuration files so you can save ballistic calculations and zero for multiple calibers to swap it between without having to re-zero from square one. It's simple to one hand operate for adjusting with your support hand while remaining on the trigger with the other. The only thing i cant confirm right way is longevity because I haven't had it long enough to speak on it. But so far it's performing admirably. I'm simply impressed and was not expecting to receive such a quality and feature rich product at this price point. Well done One Leaf. It gets 5 stars easily for value to performance. ... show more

Yes, this is a legit 60hz 640 thermal scope with laser range finder and ballistics calculator. It comes with a 35mm objective lens with a good field of view and useable thermal picture out to over 1000 yards. The is a 50mm and 75mm (Not yet available) you can purchase separately. I’m really looking forward to seeing what the 75mm lens can do. The video is a heard of cows over 500 yards away with the digital zoom at 3x. The pictures don’t do this scope justice. The 60hz refresh rate has no image freeze or refresh jump. The one shot zero is excellent and I was grouping under 1 MOA at 100 yards after one shot. It has multiple color pallets that look great. The reticle has plenty of options and you can have a Picture in Picture of a zoomed reticle too. Lots of customization in the menu and it’s easy to use in the dark after a bit of use; very intuitive. Battery is a flat tip 18650 and it gets 4-5 hours with recording and range finder active. Battery is quick to swap, and you can use an external USB-C power supply to run all night. The range finder and ballistics calculator are excellent. They can be turned on and off with a quick tap on the menu button turret. I have used it for a week now every night coyote hunting, and it hasn’t let me down. Quality and value are usually an oxymoron, but this is the real deal. Best budget thermal
Best thermal for the money , I sold my 5k 640 super yoter and bought this and so far I love it , holds zero and is super clear out to 300 yards with the 35mm lense , I do recommend if you want a clearer view after that on smaller animals to get the 50mm lense , no problem identifying yotes or deer at the 300 mark , also super easy to zero since they send you a pack of hot hands with it ... show more

It’s hard to beat this thermal for the price. Great starter thermal
I’ve had two of these scopes and more than five friends who also have this scope overall it performs great for the price point, but there are some issues that have happened. For starters, my original scope had issues with the LRF not working thankfully the company allowed me to return it for a new one. I’ve noticed that the newer scopes that have been sent out to some of my friends have had revisions made to the LRF module which I assume must be to address the issues that I ran into as mine is over two years old. I’ve used this thermal in poor weather, snow, rain, wind, and it’s ran well and all cases it doesn’t look as good as my 640 ray but that is to be expected for a thermal that is a third the price. The LRF seems to be accurate and consistent as for the bullet drop compensator. I’m not super confident, but I have used it on shots out to 400 yards and made hits on coyote size targets. ... show more

Great product
Works very well for a fraction of the cost of the competition. The 640 sensor provides a crisp image. Battery does not last as long as I would like, but purchasing multiple rechargeable 18650 batteries to keep on hand has solved any issues. Seems to hold zero but I need more time behind the scope to be sure. It would be nice if the image streamed via Bluetooth or WiFi to my phone but it doesn’t. ... show more

Excellent entry level Thermal
This thing rocks for the price. I’ve only had it on 2 hunts but so far it’s awesome. The clarity and ease of use is awesome. Rivals thermals 3 times the price. Plus the 18650 batteries are an awesome upgrade to the NV500 with the internal battery which I also have, and that’s my only complaint with it. The size of this and weight are also really nice. Best bang for the buck possible in the thermal market
Great unit, have used it for several month in the South Dakota winter, holds zero, great for being able to swap between lenses. Battery being a standard 18650 is awesome! Easy to find spares and long (5-6 hour) battery life. Highly recommend giving Oneleaf products a try. My next upgrade will be a 75mm lens for long distance coyote hunting. The fact you can get 640 thermal resolution for this price point is ridiculous, maybe not quite as good of AI upscaling as other brands, maybe a bit more “clunky” software, but super easy learning curve, nothing complicated or hard to manage, just a working easy unit, with easy target identification, even during the daytime! ... show more

I got a used unit and it was still almost good enough to keep.
The one that was shipped to me was used and missing parts, which was disappointing. I did try it out one night and we compared it to another thermal scope of lesser resolution. The comparison was closer than I expected. The scope pixilated badly when zooming so I could only use at most 3x zoom. I think the optical zoom of 2x was optimistic, and it may have been lower. The picture was clearer than the lesser resolution thermal but, not as good as I was expecting based on reviews and videos of other scopes of similar resolution. The menu was excellent and easy to navigate. Because it was a used unit, missing parts and damaged/dirty I had to return it. I was definitely impressed with the scope, and would consider buying one in the future. Maybe next generation. This was very close to a home run. If it wasn't a used unit, I likely would have kept it. I think it's a value at this price point but, not as good as higher end ones, yet. ... show more
