I have a very old Omron blood pressure monitor, which is loud and reacts on any movement with an error. This one works much better. I like the triple reading feature (old monitor also has it) and the app. The arm cuff is on a smaller side and barely fits my arm. But still works. Maybe I will get a bigger cuff later. App allows exporting data in excel format, which is what I need. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. Note, to get accurate results position the cuff correctly, because shifting it more than like 45 degrees from the proper position makes the readings not accurate. ... show more

Very good value for the price, easy to use. The Omron 10 series comes with AC adapter in the box no need to purchase additional one as pointed out by Amazon site when I purchased unit.

    • Good investment. Check accuracy, may read higher than actual.
I was hoping to get the Platinum model as it is pretty much the same thing but has a case,etc. The Platinum is not FSA eligible so I went with this one. Readings were higher than expected, so took it to my Dr. to compare it with a good old manual check. Found the accuracy to be about 10 mmHg higher on both sys and dia values, and pulse is right on. I guess it is better to err on the side of caution. A trip to the Dr. To confirm this was much less expensive than an unnecessary trip to the hospital emergency department. This device is pretty easy to use. The instructions are pretty good and they point out some of the issues about it that have been posted. There is a quick start insert, but I recommend reading the manual. It will save you time and frustration. The pre-formed cuff is helpful for applying by oneself. However, it can be a little uncomfortable as the edge of the rigid portion sits right on the tricep at the base of the armpit. With frequent use or if not careful, can irritate or pinch when it inflates. I found the issue of the bluetooth not being reliable is true when using the recommended app. I think this is more of an app issue than if the unit. It is supported by the Samsung Health app and works great! Their recommended app seems to showcase the EKG feature of their other device. I also don't understand why some permissions are required to download my readings such as location. It doesn't matter where I am if I want my readings. If you don't need it, I recommend saving the phone or tablet memory and use the health and fitness app of choice that you already use or is embedded on your smart device. It would be nice if it offered an attached or BT linked pulse ox sensor that would log the reading along with the associated BP reading. I also would be very happy if it could be updated with new software to allow calibration regardless of the app used with it.     • To sync data with bluetooth
The device works great but the documentation is not very clear on the manual transfer of data with the iPhone app. It works for me with the following easy steps: 1. In the iPhone OMRON app, go to the Dashboard tab at the bottom left. Then click the Sync button at the top right. This will put it in sync mode. 2. With OMRON OFF (that is important), press once on the Bluetooth button in the back of the device. This will put the device in sync mode. The device has 0 0 flashing indicating it is syncing. (The order of step 1 and step 2 does not matter. ) 3. When the sync is done, OMRON will show another o o and OK and the app will have updated data. All the data in the units that were not sync before will be synced now. To sync automatically: 1. open the iPhone app first before turn on the unit. 2. do the blood pressure test. 3. Wait for a few seconds after all readings are displayed, it will be sync automatically right away. If you open the app AFTER the blood pressure test but the display is still on, then you just press the bluetooth button in the back of the unit, it will be sync. If the display is off or you are reviewing pass data, then use the previous method to sync. So far, with batteries only and with the above methods, I always got sycn immediately. One time I did not get sync was I removed one battery and use AC only, that reading did not get sync. I did not play with it further with AC mode since I use battery only most of the time. I will be good if the software allow sync no matter under what condition automatically or when the blue tooth button is pressed. But to me, it is easy enough as of now. ... show more

This machine is known as the Omron Complete. You can take your blood pressure and record a 1-lead EKG at the same time. The data is stored on the Omron App on your cell phone and you can generate a full report and BP analysis for the previous 30 day period before seeing your cardiologist. Then you can either email a PDF with the report to your doctor or print it off and take it with you to show it to him or her. In addition to all of this, you can earn points while checking your BP and EKG on a regular basis and once you accrue 50,000 points (which is easy to do within an 8 week period of time, they email you a code to add $5.00 to your Amazon gift card. ... show more
