I have been using the Omron 10 Series BP785N for the last five years or so. Lately, it would occasionally error out and sometimes it would act funny, so I was not sure I could trust the results. The price for this unit was a lot cheaper than the comparable unit I bought in 2018. Plus, the BP7450 includes Bluetooth. So, that was a nice plus. First I tested them side by side, doing a "TruRead" 3 time Average with both units, the Systolic was off by 1 and the Diastolic was exact. So, based on that reading, I feel comfortable using both of them. Since I can still use my old one, I have decided to keep my manual log along with the Bluetooth updates, running my BP in two locations. I have used other cheaper BP monitors that offer Bluetooth and they did not work all that well. I find that the BP7450 does an excellent job with the Omron Connect Android App. It is very simple to use and has fingerprint support. My current procedure is to take my BP, leave the BP Monitor on, open the Omron Connect App, and synchronize it with my phone. (For some reason, Omron forces you to use location services in order to update readings, so I temporarily turn that on, get my reading, and turn it off. I don't like being tracked by Google.) The app shows my goal as being 135/80 while the BP monitor expects you to be below 120/80. My old BP monitor also reads over 135/80 as being high. My BP is never going to be below 120/80 unless I'm reading it after an hour long workout. It can be a bit depressing being told your BP is high every day. I think that should/could be an adjustable setting. But, that is a minor nit. Another plus is that the power plug and the Arm Cuff are interchangeable with my BP785N. The "air plug" is a little different, but I could swap it out if needed. Overall, I think this is a great product. I think it is worth the extra to get an upper cuff unit, and at this price, it is not much more than a wrist cuff unit.

This is my first blood pressure monitor, so I do not have previous references. However, it took me a bit of research to make the decision on purchasing this and not an older series' Omron, or a different brand. I ended up choosing this 9”- 17” preformed cuff because my arm size leans more to a lower circumference (13") than towards a higher value. This is something that will definitely determine you choosing between preformed cuff or d-ring and wrist devices (the latter work better for people with bigger upper arms). I was a bit concerned about accuracy, but the TruRead function (averaging consecutive measurements) takes care of it, even so, I have not noticed outlier measurements. It is more about following general common ground instructions on when (time of the day, body state, etc.) and how to take the measurement, than any inaccuracy given by the instrument. So far so good, it is very easy to use and I can store/synch 2 user's readings independently. Pairing the device was at first a bit confusing, but if you stick to the instructions it works just fine, also, it was a one-time thing to do (1 time per user/phone). I paired both IPhone and Android, no problems. The synching and keeping history in the app, which is simple but good enough is also a plus. With regards to the reviews claiming the blue rubber joint at the end of the band breaks easily... I am not sure why would that happen. It could certainly be a bit delicate, but just as any other instrument, you just need to take care of it: set the monitor in one fixed and undisturbed place and you should be good. Also treat it carefully, just like any other cable-like part it will obviously have a risk to break if you pull it around, bent it or generally mistreat it (it is an electronic device, not a garden hose!!). Anyways.. really happy with my purchase.

This monitor ( Omron 10 Series Wireless Upper Arm Blood Pressure Monitor BP7450 ) is a good one. The cuff is very easy to wear. I haven't verified this device reading with my doctor. Will update the accuracy later. The only thing is changing the TrueRead mode setting is not a straight forward. The TrueRead mode takes 3 consecutive measurements and apply the average. You can set the interval between the readings ( 15,30,60 or 120 seconds) If you would like to turn-on TrueRead mode later, you need to press the Bluetooth button and accept all the date prompts to change the TrueRead settings. They should have a separate button to turn off or turn on the TrueRead setting. I am not removing Arm Cuff Air plug from the monitor. I always attached the air plug to the monitor as I read some reviews says the air plug can break if you remove and insert often ( I didn't do any research whether it really breaks or not). The BlueTooth sync is easy. Please note while adding the monitor to your mobile app ( 1st time ) , you need to select an user on your phone . If you do not select an user ( 1 or 2 ) , it gives a misleading error saying that "the selected user is already assigned and do you you want to overwrite?" Make sure to select an user on your mobile app while adding your BP monitor to your iPhone App. I synced with Iphone X ( iOS 14.7.1) and no issues. The App has a nice graphical representation of your readings. You can also change it to list view. You can share the result to the registered email. I don't see anyway to send directly to any other email except the one you used to register with "Connect Omron App". I don't see sharing through other apps like whatsapp. Overall the monitor is good one. I still need to validate the reading with my doctor, but the readings looks correct from my history.

I was hoping to get the Platinum model as it is pretty much the same thing but has a case,etc. The Platinum is not FSA eligible so I went with this one. Readings were higher than expected, so took it to my Dr. to compare it with a good old manual check. Found the accuracy to be about 10 mmHg higher on both sys and dia values, and pulse is right on. I guess it is better to err on the side of caution. A trip to the Dr. To confirm this was much less expensive than an unnecessary trip to the hospital emergency department. This device is pretty easy to use. The instructions are pretty good and they point out some of the issues about it that have been posted. There is a quick start insert, but I recommend reading the manual. It will save you time and frustration. The pre-formed cuff is helpful for applying by oneself. However, it can be a little uncomfortable as the edge of the rigid portion sits right on the tricep at the base of the armpit. With frequent use or if not careful, can irritate or pinch when it inflates. I found the issue of the bluetooth not being reliable is true when using the recommended app. I think this is more of an app issue than if the unit. It is supported by the Samsung Health app and works great! Their recommended app seems to showcase the EKG feature of their other device. I also don't understand why some permissions are required to download my readings such as location. It doesn't matter where I am if I want my readings. If you don't need it, I recommend saving the phone or tablet memory and use the health and fitness app of choice that you already use or is embedded on your smart device. It would be nice if it offered an attached or BT linked pulse ox sensor that would log the reading along with the associated BP reading. I also would be very happy if it could be updated with new software to allow calibration regardless of the app used with it. Despite the accuracy issue, I think this is a good investment.

I have a very old Omron blood pressure monitor, which is loud and reacts on any movement with an error. This one works much better. I like the triple reading feature (old monitor also has it) and the app. The arm cuff is on a smaller side and barely fits my arm. But still works. Maybe I will get a bigger cuff later. App allows exporting data in excel format, which is what I need. Overall, I am satisfied with this purchase. Note, to get accurate results position the cuff correctly, because shifting it more than like 45 degrees from the proper position makes the readings not accurate.

Appears to be a very well-built machine, it's arm cuff is very easy to put on and off, and it's attaching material (like a Velcro) seems like it will last a long time both in terms of years and use. I had two of these, exact same model, available when testing against my dentist's blood pressure monitor and the two copies of the same model did not agree with one another but mine agreed with the dentist's which gave me a bit of confidence in it. Two features I bought this model for, I do not care about, so consider saving $10 or so with the next model down which does not have the 3 averaged readings. While it takes three readings in a row, one minute or two minutes apart, however you set it to space them out, each of those readings does not show up on your screen. It's averaging math is done entirely by the machine. I didn't like that period I want to see what each of the three readings says. It is very easy to simply wait a minute or two, leave the armband on, and poke the start button again. Those three readings will be in its memory and you can average out yourself. But at least you know what they were. The other feature this model has is the wall plug. I can't think of why I thought I needed it. It would be inconvenient and batteries work fine. I think it may even tell you if they are running low. I would recommend checking your unit against a doc's or dentist's just so you know it is reasonably correct since in my case the other copy of this same exact machine was off. All in all it seems like a good home unit. This is a case where I would stick with a name brand.

I researched for weeks and finally decided on the Omron 10 series - not the newest version, but this model. Accuracy was my first concern. This model of monitor had more reviews stating that the numbers that owners were getting were closest to what they get at their doctor's office. Some reviewers had tried other monitors, but came back to this monitor for more accurate readings. I also wanted a monitor that didn't have to be connected to an app to use it, but had the option to do so if I wanted to use an app. The Comfort Cuff is a plus as well - fits my arm perfectly. I'm very happy with this monitor - it's easy to set up, easy to use, the large numbers are easy to read, and I feel like I'm getting pretty accurate readings. Works for me!

So, I read the reviews and knew about the connector being fragile and found a place to buy them (look at BPMonitorDepot). I also bought a hard case on Amazon that allows the cuff to stay connected and protected (so I don't keep pulling on it). https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B081J7RT8K/ And I also knew the phone app had lots of limitations (security/access questions, limited time before they beg for money, etc.). But I'd had another Omron that I bought in 2008 that just died, and hoped that was a good indicator of a new one's longevity, so I didn't want to try another brand. And I liked and wanted the hard cuff (read the soft one was sometimes hard to put on, per reviews for others like the Omron Platinum that I was considering). The old 2008 Omron I had was the "IT" model -- that could export readings via a USB cable (and I even got the old software to work on Windows 10!). I was hoping I'd be able to find a way to get the data out to something with the new one -- without using the Omron Connect app. I have an older Samsung Galaxy Note8 -- and the Samsung Health app on it. Was happy to see that it pretty quickly found the Omron (from within the Health app) by just telling it to scan via bluetooth for any "accessory" when in the BP portion of the Health app. It didn't pull in previous readings -- but immediately pulled in a new reading once it was taken, including pulse (and it pulled in 3 because I was doing the "true read" thing). And I manually entered a couple previous ones. So, if you're just trying to get the data to get recorded/saved elsewhere, and you have a Samsung phone, it's likely you can get it into the phone without needing the Omron Connect software. Of course, with the way apps change, and newer versions of everything, who knows. The unit itself seems to do a good job of taking my BP (same general readings of my old one -- but haven't brought it in to a doc appt, yet). Only time will tell if it lives as long as the old one.
