Two of these stay in the kitchen, while the third (the curved one) lives on my desk. My wife and kids swipe my little tools, pens, and so on, all the time. The design on these scissors is distinctive (and functional) so they CANNOT forget that these are Papa's scissors! The two larger scissors are useful in cutting food into smaller pieces, which is important to me because I eat a LOT of fried rice. While a big hunk of broccoli might be fine as a side dish on a plate, it needs to be reduced in size to make a good component of fried rice. These are VERY handy for that! They also slice up pieces of bacon, which I use for taste, and are just the thing for opening the cellophane packages. These are very easy to clean. I usually hand-wash them, in order to get then back in service, but I have run them through the dishwasher with no harm done to the handles. Im hard on kitchen shears...not only do I use them on the usual such as cutting up chicken, I seem to grab them for all sorts of other chores like opening hard to open packages ...so I need new ones every couple of years.
