This is my 2nd olloclip lens. It’s amazing to me that they continue to make the product even better with each version of iPhone! What are my favorite features? I'm glad you asked! First, I love that this lens reaches both the front and rear cameras. I haven’t seen that option in any other mobile lenses on the market. I'm surprised how many times I find myself using the wide angle lens on my front camera for selfies with the girls. We can all officially make the photo now - and no more selfie sticks! Isn’t that the end goal in life anyway? Second, it’s so easy to attach. I put it on the phone and it works right away. I’ve had one of those "chip clip" lenses in the past and it took forever to get it over the camera. Then with one light bump, I had to go through the process all over. This one pops right on the top of the phone and stays locked in place. Lastly, with my previous olloclip lenses, I hadn’t been able to use a screen protector on my phone. With this new one, it works great. Of course, it’s glass so I’m still extra careful. But this one works great -- it slides right over the glass screen protector and takes amazing photos. I highly recommend this lens for anyone looking to up their Instagram game!

DON T BUY THIS!! IT S MADE OF VERY RIGID PLASTIC THAT WILL SCRATCH YOUR CAMERA LENSES AND YOUR SCREEN. NOT SUITABLE TO USE WITH ANY SCREEN OR PROTECTOR. IT WILL TOTALLY RUIN YOUR IPHONE. I THROW AWAY MY PACKAGE 10 MINUTES AFTER OPENING IT

1. Some background info: I've used several iPhone lens, most recently the Moment Lens (probably the highest regarded lens out there right now). However for various reasons (primarily the mounting process), I wasn't satisfied with the Moment Lens and decided to check out the olloclip (for my iPhone 7). 2. Here are the pros / cons: a: Lens Quality: I've taken numerous shots with it (primarily the wide) and I'm definitely happy with the quality; there's no vignetting (which was a problem with the Moment Lens) and the edge sharpness is... good enough. b: Overall build quality is also good. c: The functionality and lack of attention to detail is the biggest problem with this product. ex: As others have noted, getting the unit on / off the iPhone appears to be simple quick... and it can be... if you don't care about potentially scratching your phone. Then one would get a screen protector; wrong. Although Olloclip notes that the new unit will work with a screen protector (they can't specify which one for some odd reason), I've tried... 4-5 different ones (tempered glass, film), they either crack (i.e. the glass) or the film gets stuck on the lens unit as you're trying to slide it on. If Olloclip had some decent engineers, they would at least make the unit so that at least you can slightly pull it apart and put it on that way; but with the sliding mechanism, the glass screen protectors will crack and the film ones will basically get stuck and come off; terrible engineering Olloclip. Another issue small issue which demonstrates the lack of attention to detail is their lame lens cap. Yes, it fits, but in that it has no felt lining, when you put it on a wide angle lens (which is convex), the lens will invariably have an overt mark left from the lens cap, which then you have to clean each time you use it (if you care about those things; it may be irrelevant to the image). 3. I'll keep this unit in that it's good enough but it could have been great; perhaps the next generation products will be better.

My wife got this for me as an anniversary gift. I'm using a matte black iPhone 7. The lenses are phenomenal and fun. All three work great. I have the accompanying ollocase which allows for a little less roughness to the phone itself (as well as a satisfyingly snug snap in). I would recommend this as I can see how being a little too rough might scratch the finish on the phone (but to be fair, Apple basically made a phone that would get scratched from setting it down "too hard" on a table). If you're not going to systematically buy Moment lenses, this is the quality competitor to those that makes sense.

Within 24hrs of usage, this refinement of the Olloclip lens system left me with a scratched iPhone 7. The day before however, I've emailed Olloclip's support with this *particular* concern on my mind: "I’m definitely a bit freaked out whenever I slide the Olloclip onto my iPhone. How likely is it it will scratch it with the hard plastic?" Misty @ Olloclip responded: "The plastic clip is the only parts that touch the phone. With that being said, the plastic itself cannot scratch the finish of the phone (although Apple themselves mentions that the jet black is a scratch sensitive finish to anything in of itself). There is going to be a chance that if something gets caught between the clip and the phone (i.e. grit, debris, or whatnot) that, that material could leave a mark, but the clip itself is not going to scratch your device." Let me assure you, there was no "grit, debris or whatnot", nor any screen protector (which now I regret not having) on my screen. Once I informed Olloclip of how their product performed (granted, with some level of profanity), there was utter radio silence. Speaks volumes about how they approach this problem.

This is a wonderful lens set! The quality is superb and the uses endless. I liked it so much I bought the macro set as well! The other reviews are correct in that it will scratch a black iPhone, but it is minor and mine is already scratched anyhow so it wasn't an issue to me. This product is worth a couple scratches. Was hoping they would have the matching iPhone case available but it appears it won't be until March 2017.
