Like a lot of people I tried going the cheap route the first time which was just a waste of time and money. How I came across the snapshot spotting adaptor was at the shooting range. A fellow shooter had it on his spotting scope. I was impressed with how simple it was and how well it worked. This does have its pro's and con's. So I will start with the pro's. Pro's Easy to attach and snug fit. Self centering either horizontal or vertical. Strong magnet. Cover attaches firmly when in storage. Well made. Con's Adaptor only fits the type of spotting scope you are using and not made for all spotting scopes. Phone case only fits the type of phone you are using and certain types of phones. If you have multiple spotting scopes or phones this may not be the choice for you. Or if you have have an off brand scope or phone again this may not be the choice for you. On the pricey side. So do your home work, check the website to see if is compatible with what you have. As for myself this worked out great and I would purchase it again. ... show more

I thought purchasing a Pixel 8 cover would work with the 8a. Shame on me for not doing research. The view thorugh the camera was completely misaligned. Since the Ollin phone-specific case did not work for me, the adapter became useless. The magnetic eyepiece and tether work as described, although the adapter will create long-lasting marks on the eyepiece. ... show more
