I bought these mattresses for some bunk beds I was making and I wanted good quality mattresses with steel springs - not just layers of foam. When they arrived, I was quite surprised to see the small boxes that showed up (still about 48 pounds each mind you) as shown above. When unpacking, I found the mattress somehow compressed and rolled up to fit in that box! Once you puncture the inner bag (shown above - see knife to left). the bag inflates and so does the mattress! Once all the excitement has passed (for me anyhow) the mattress is very comfy and holds its shape well - which is what I was looking for. These are new for me so I can't comment yet on longevity but they are well-made and I expect them to last quite a while. Definitely recommended! ... show more

Like you, I came here to read reviews prior to purchasing. I decided on this mattress after MUCH research. It arrived a little delayed, but not bad. Nicely packaged, easy to set up. The firmness is perfect, IMO, I like the support of the coils and the softness of the foam on top. ONLY qualm: it’s extra soft along the sides so it doesn’t seem to hold firm enough when you’re sitting on the edge. It definitely sags/squashes down As far as comfort for the price and delivery convenience, we’re very happy ... show more
