They cables do work but show up as unplugged. See picture. My Stick Up Cam is “wired mode”, with a battery inside. The cable charges the battery and everything works. The only issues is that the camera shows as unplugged even though it’s plugged in. Under Device Health it shows as being connected to Solar.

The adapter does the job. You have to leave a battery in for the ring cam to work as mentioned previously. I already had 2 and its kept them charged. It took awhile for me to see the results since the batteries were almost dead so be patient. When you check device health it shows under solar status as connected.

I purchase these to eliminate the need to have spare batteries that needed to be charged so that I could switch out the batteries for my Ring “stick up” cameras. The cords are long enough that you can easily find an outlet close enough to plug them in. I have 4 of these and I never have to worry about the cameras running out of juice and missing out on picking up a video of any motion 24/7. Love it!

The camera end of the cable is pretty good. The cable is long (perhaps too long, but that's minor). The powered end is standard USB male plug which is accompanied by a standard USB charger -- and that's the problem. The powered end is in no way weather-proof. One can't simply plug this into an exterior GFC socket, because both the charger and the USB connection have no weather-proofing at all. So if you want to use this setup (the cable with charger), you will have to find a way to plug it in with the plug in a weather-proof location (as in inside or under a roof). As a result, this is a cable-charger combination with far less utility than you might otherwise expect -- only for use where you can plug it in with no risk of weather exposure. I will note that I was able to plug it in inside a tool shed (with a roof, therefore dry), and run the cable to an exterior camera -- so it met my needs. But chances are, many prospective buyers won't have that option, and this cable will therefore be less useful than initially imagined. Ring offers a similar cable but with high quality weather proofing -- their price for that hardware is excessively high, but it is properly weather proofed, which this is not. Just FYI.

- Pros: 1. Cord length is very sufficient to reach cameras and are off sufficient strength to pull. 2. Compact Size. 3. Separate Power Packs from USB cord so if the power pack dies or the cord is damaged either one can be changed. - Cons: It says that the ends are water tight, they are not they are hard plastic so if you're using them outside you may want to put some Dielectric Grease or Silicon on the connector outer sides/edges. The power pack portion that the USB part plugs into power supply is not weather proof so seal it or plug it inside and run the cord outside. - I've had them installed for over a month now and are working great in rain, snow and freezing weather.
