It is well built we will see how it holds up over time. The vibration is in the lumbar pillow but it doesn't have a USB connection it has a round plug the cord is only about 12 inches and there is no power supply or USB adapter to use the vibration so it is just a sales gimmick> It doesnt even tell you what kind of adapter you need.. So therefore this isnt a massage chair it's just a regular chair. Update after Just a week or so the side arms wobble even though the screws are tightened not sure how long this chair will last. I contacted the seller about there being no power supply to plug in massaging pillow they said they will send out another one. Well it is just the lumbar pillow without the massage device in it. There is still no way to power the massager so it is miss advertisement it has just a short 12 inch cord coming out with a round plug and no way to power it See picture included. It deceitful advertisement because those wanting one with a vibrating lumbar device are going to be paying for one but yet no way to power it. The seller is also very limited in the English so they dont even understand the issue. Given all that I am moving this from 4 stars to 1 star. Look for a different chair this isnt a very good one and doesnt have massage capability out of the box like it claims. ... show more

From the time the box arrived (in a timely manner) it took about 45 minutes to put it together. The instructions are straight-forward, not difficult to understand although as usual with these types of things, I cannot tell similar-sized screws apart. I would like to see color-coded screws so as to know which ones to use. Despite that, putting the chair together was not difficult. The chair comes with a usb-connectable vibrating massage pillow which is unnecessary. It distracts from gaming! The retractable foot rest adds an extra "Hey, neat!" feature to the chair but isn't used much. The back of the chair has two open gaps to allow your back to air out and not get so sweaty. After about a month of use, nothing has broken, come loose, frayed, or any negative thing. It is a good, solid chair, big and roomy. I would certainly buy another one if I needed to. ... show more

There are many bad reviews (but a nice high star rating), but the positive comments on this chair helped me make my choice. I could have gone with any chair up to $400, but after looking at over a dozen in the highest star ratings, I picked this one (~$100). Not a gamer, just a workaholic, so a good chair is an investment. But, I didn't want to spend big bucks and be disappointed, AND have to pay huge shipping fees to return it. So many of the more expensive chairs had plenty of bad reviews too. Putting it together was quick and easy. I would change 2 things in their instructions though. They don't show the correct direction for the main iron piece that connects the base to the back. They show which end goes where, but not which way the bend goes. The diagram should show a second view showing the bottom end angle forward. Also, I would change the order of putting that piece on. I suggest adding it to the base first and then to the back as it is much more awkward to line up the holes while trying to balance that heavy back on it. The parts kit, which is very nicely organized, even comes with some spare parts (on purpose, not because I missed some ;) ). After getting it put together, it feels very sturdy. I read complaints about it feeling loose and rocky. So far, for me, it is very solid. Because some of the bolts squeeze fabrics between parts, I know that I will probably need to re-tighten some of them in a few weeks. The seat is a bit firm for me (which I'm sure will change with use). I have a cushion from my old chair and was using it for a bit, but it made my elbows not reach the armrests easily (I rest my elbows on them when I type), and it was causing my back to hurt. I took the cushion out and now everything fits wonderfully and the back stopped hurting. The seat sits me back at an angle that works great for typing, but I'm often leaning towards my desk for my work. That cushion I was using helped keep me at the right angle for that. Time will tell if I need to come up with a better cushion to help with that or not. Reclining is the one thing that prompted me to look for a new chair. I spend a LOT of time at my desk, and there are plenty of times where I need a little 5 minute or so nap. Trying to do that in my old chair was hurting my back (if I tried stretching out) or my neck (if I tried to prop my head on my arm on the desk). The recline action of this chair is very smooth, both directions. I love that it will lock at any position. I read complaints about the back not coming back up on its own after reclining, but mine does. I see that the fabric of the chair can get caught in the connection for the armrests. I wonder if that is the problem with it not coming back up easily for others? Height adjustment is smooth as well, but I need it at it's lowest setting. Lumbar support is something I'm not use to, but as I'm typing this, I wonder how I got along these many years without it! I haven't tried the vibration yet, but I can't see me liking it that much (yet, I didn't know that I'd like the support until now, so...) The armrests are nice a cushy. I'm going to get some covers for them though, or my kitties will shred them. ... show more

Before I write anything I want to say that the customer support is amazing! I picked this chair out and continued shopping. By the time I went to buy my kids presents the blue was unavailable so I stuck with the red chair. Well the very next day guess what? The blue one was available again. Lol. So I emailed them and explained to them I wanted the blue chair. They responded really quick and told me they would ship the blue instead of the red. That was so amazing they did that. They could have easily said no. Okay so with that said here's my review. I bought this for my daughter for christmas and just put it together, which was a lot easier than I expected. Took like a half an hour and that was with me taking my time. Instructions was a lot less than I expected but all you need to do is look how each step is done. My 9 year old son could have put this together. So besides that, its such a nice chair. So big and comfy. The little massage pillow is cool but I already know my daughter will probably take that off. Mainly because you have to have it plugged in to the wall to have it turn on. And she won't be close enough to an outlet for that to be possible. Well not one close enough for the cord to reach. Besides that I have nothing bad to say about this chair. I love it and my daughter will too. I can't wait for christmas for her to get it into her room and at her desk. ... show more
