When the box arrived it was damaged and there were little bits of wood in my walkway. I was going to return and corresponded with company. Upon further inspection of inside the box ( which we hadn't even opened because we could see the broken wood) it was discovered that the wood was actually PACKING material to protect the unit. It was FEDEX that damaged it not the company. We put it all together and it is very sturdy, easy directions and it did take awhile but there were a lot of parts. It looks great and we live in earthquake California but this thing is not going anywhere its that solid. Self closing doors too! What a bonus. We literally just put it together but it's a nice looking unit as you can see from the pics. ... show more

First, I was surprised at how heavy the box was when it arrived. The delivery truck backed up into the driveway, I saw it so I opened the garage door. He was already standing at the back of the truck and was happy I opened the door. It indicates on the box that it takes two people to move it. They are right. It is heavy. Once I got it in the house and started to unpack the contents, I was really impressed at how well it was packed and protected. It would have to take some major abuse to harm any of the contents. It has some heavy duty boards on the ends to protect the contents and I was glad they were there. Both end boards had taken some beating and were busted or bent but protected everything inside. Smart! It is not a difficult piece to assemble. I would recommend having another individual available to assist when needed. Occasionally you'll need some assistance in balancing a couple of piece's while you bolt them together, overall, not a hard unit to put together. Take your time, be patient, and just follow the instructions, which I might add, are simple and very easy to follow. Just take it one page at a time. I laid out all the parts in order, alphabetically, so it make it extremely easy to know and see what I needed as I moved through the assembly process. I have to admit, I was impressed with the simplicity of the instructions, but they are very clear. The pieces are sturdy. The hardware is quality. The engineering was spot on as everything fit, holes were where they were suppose to be, and I didn't have to wrestle anything into place to bolt it together. I kept anticipating a struggle somewhere and it never happened. You can tell some forethought went into the design and preparation for construction by the purchaser. Very much appreciated. The detail of little things is also impressive and makes for a much more valued product. The back panel has supports included that make it sturdy and locks it into place. There is nothing more frustrating on cheaper pieces than trying to nail on the back with those little nails that not even a baby can hold. Some thought went into this. Just a couple of quick hints as you construct your cabinet. First, on the side shelves. Put them into place, put them where you want and then mark the holes where the screws will go, pull them out, and pre-screw the holes. It is a little awkward to try to screw those in where they are located. Second, with the cabinet hardware. With the hinges, just put one screw in the top and the bottom of each hinge on each side. Then take your time to make your adjustments. It is a lot easier to move fore/aft/in/out when you only have to loosen one screw. Once you have both doors adjusted to were you want then screw the remaining screws into place. Use a light so you can see and screw them in straight. Take your time, it is worth it to get those doors right. I don't rave about products. For the most part, on a high ticked item like this you don't expect to much. But with this piece of furniture, I was extremely impressed. From the packaging, to the instructions, to the finished product, I can't say enough about the value of the overall experience and how thrilled we are with the final outcome. Very impressive. You won't be disappointed. A lot of thought and effort went into doing this right. They nailed it. ... show more

Having recently moved, we were looking for some new furniture for our living room. I found the matching coffee table first but then saw this entertainment center and immediately loved it - so had to get both! The wood detail with the iron is just the industrial rustic vibe we were looking for and compliments our new space perfectly. My partner assembled it within a few hours without any trouble. The only negative we had was one of the doors kept hanging a little loose even after adjusting the hinges. A simple trip to the hardware store to get a magnet strip took care of this issue for us (installed in photo - this is not included and was simply our preference). This is going to be a short since it already has so many reviews. The bottom line, this product gets 5 stars and here is why: 1. It was delivered 3 days earlier than expected. 2. It was extremely easy to assemble. One person can complete the assembly in about 1 hour with 2 kids insisting on helping and trying to put things together. 2b. Use a drill, makes things so much faster. 3. Extra hardware in case you loose something. 4. Has lots of storage room for games and odd things. 5. Looks nice and fits almost anywhere. 6. Specially recommended if you are using a sound bar. Also has a nice nook for a base. 7. Fits most TV rooms as long as it's not hypermodern. Best for Family TV/Game rooms. I really don't have any negatives currently but my big question is how will it hold up. It looks heavy duty but it has to survive a house that has lots of friends coming over and playing rough. ... show more

It is very sturdy thanks to the iron ends (5stars). i just hate that everything is particle board these days (4stars). the 'wood' finish looks good from a distance but up close (and this is front & center in my LR) you can see it is the 'paper finish' finish. the instructions were great with one exception (4stars). i had never put together anything with hinges before. the instructions should note that the screw on the inside hinge should be loosened before trying to install. so once i figured out to loosen the screw on the hinge, it went pretty smooth. figuring this out added about 20 min (20 frustrating minutes, mind you) to the time of 2.5 hours to build. i built this alone, just me & my drill! i'm a chic, so without my electric drill, putting this together never would have happened. all pieces were in the box, instructions were step by step. it looks good in my LR. Perfect for my 55" TV. when i upgrade to a 65", it'll still fit it easily with the width & depth of this unit. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am super happy with this stand! It’s very sturdy and looks great. When I first open the box and saw all the pieces I was a little intimidated. But honestly the instruction manual makes it very easy to assemble. My husband and myself put it together it took a little under two hours.
