  • A Great Game
Product grade: New
I love this game on the Wii. I dont love playing the wii cause of the controllers. When my boyfriend bought me a PS4 for my birthday, I was so stoked to see they had Okami for PS4. It works perfectly, has no scratches, and came in brand new packaging. Highly recommend you try this game out.

  • Beautiful and Unique Game - One To Play Before You Die
Product grade: New
With Okami 2 *finally* in development, I expect there's a chance more people will be introduced to the world of the goddess Amaterasu, or in her wolf form... Ammy, and the beautiful brush stroke world of Okami. Okami first released on PS2 and had a Wii release using motion control to pain the brush strokes on the screen. You see, you play as the Japanese goddes Amaterasu who has been awoken in the form of a wolf - a heroic wolf who saved humanity long before the start of the game. The land has fallen to darkness so you set out with your new companion, an artist who is quite literally a bug sized, well, bug-person, to cleanse the land. You do this by fighting enemies and restoring the nature of the area, either by bringing trees to life or restoring the rivers and such. Everything is done using brush strokes with the "celestial brush" which allows you to restore constellations, draw slash marks through enemies, or create bombs with a stroke of the brush. The art style of Okami was inspired by Japanese calligraphy and gives it a very unique style that no other game really sets alongside. It does help if you have some familiarity with Japanese mythology and folk tales as there are a number of subtle and less subtle references to them, but if you don't know any whatsoever, you won't be missing out on the story presented in the game itself. The game ended on something of a conclusion combined with a cliff hanger. The cliff hanger part was not addressed in the sorta-sequel Okami-den on Nintendo DS, which *also* ended with room for a sequel to wrap it up. Here's hoping Okami 2 wraps up the stories for both Okami and Okami-den. If you're interested in this gorgeous game, the HD release on PS4 is arguably the best option out there. ... show more
