This is a really sturdy product! There is one down side. Due to the tilt angle & depending on what you’re flying, the yoke may touch the kneeboard. Most of the time I’ll to strap the board as close as possible towards the groin area and then the iPad mini will clear the yoke during flight. Still deserves 5 stars! ... show more

    • It’s bulky
I purchased this for my iPad to train in the piper archer aircraft and it was a bit bulky and blocked me from controlling my flight controls so I had to return it.

I had high expectations for the OHLPRO Tablet Pilot Kneeboard, but unfortunately it didn’t deliver. The biggest issue is stability — even with the straps tightened, the kneeboard shifts around more than it should, especially during turbulence. That alone makes it frustrating to use when you actually need quick access and reliability. The 360° rotation feature sounds great on paper, but in practice it feels loose and imprecise. It doesn’t lock firmly into position, so the tablet tends to move when you tap or adjust it. That’s not ideal in a cockpit environment where everything needs to stay exactly where you put it. Build quality is also underwhelming. The materials feel cheap for the price, and the stitching on the straps doesn’t inspire confidence in long-term durability. After limited use, it already shows signs of wear. Fit is another problem. While it claims to support a wide range of tablet sizes (5–13”), it doesn’t hold smaller devices like the iPad mini as securely as expected. You end up constantly adjusting it instead of focusing on flying. Overall, this kneeboard feels like a good idea with poor execution. There are better, more secure options out there that are actually designed with pilots in mind. I wouldn’t recommend this one. ... show more

    • Very handy kneeboard
Ordered this to help hold my iPad mini more securely than my old paper kneeboard. This thing is really handy because it's secure and can pivot the iPad to get better use and viewing angles. It functions well, and I have no major complaints. Just one minor one. When storing this when not in use, in a flight bag, it's very awkward. Because of the pivot mount mechanism, it's very tall, so it can take up a lot of room in the bag or just make storing stuff in the bag with it slightly more annoying. But functionality-wise, it works really well. Definitely would recommend! ... show more

I recently got the OHLPRO Tablet Pilot Kneeboard for my iPad mini, and I have to say it’s been a game-changer for my flying experience. The first thing I noticed was how sturdy it feels.     • Interferes with yoke movement
Product quality was good and strap fit well. Unfortunately this mount makes your iPad sit up a bit high off the leg and was interfering with the yoke movement when flying and I decided to return.
