Initially bought the B0DR25FL7C and it turned out the strap was too tight. Reached out to seller and they offered to send this one to try out. The longer strap included with this one is a much better fit. So far it does the job and hopefully it lasts. The product is a 4 because while you can adjust the holders height to fit different tablets, you can not adjust the width so I have to put my ipad mini in it horizontally or it clamps right on the buttons at the top. However, great interaction with the seller customer service bumps up to 5.

The build quality is excellent, and the strap holds securely. For my specific use case, I use the strap to hold a metal mousepad, which works great in conjunction with virtual monitors when using an AR/VR headset.

Tablets (even larger cell phones) stay in place within the bracket, and the thigh straps are comfortable and easy to adjust over pants. But the interface between the bracket and the strap is a bit on the clunky side. Never been a fan of the 4-slot design, and for good reason.....the one piece is prone to coming loose. Also, the knob to adjust tilt angle is not as smooth as I would like. All said, when everything is set , your tech stays in place, but the journey to get there is not a smooth road. I am not a pilot and did not get this kneeboard for that purpose. But I'd be a little nervous flying with this thing, for it to suddenly slip and as a knee-jerk reaction you accidentally touch/hit something.

I'm always looking for a better iPad mini kneeboard. I'd say this is better than average. I like that it can accomodate my iPad mini in its case, including the Apple Pencil. (There is a slight interference in getting the Pencil out of the case when in the kneeboard.) It's very nice that it doesn't interfere with any of the iPad mini buttons (i.e. power, volume.) Some otherwise good kneeboards do. The thigh strap is comfortable and easy to adjust, and holds things pretty securely without shifting. It also offers tilt and rotational adjustability.

Does not fit all iPads. If you have a newer one it will fit. The older ones are a tad bigger so they don’t fit. The clip on the knee board fits weird. If you bump it, the iPad may come out of the slot and will likely fall. If using in an airplane it may cause some safety issues.

From testing I can say a few things - using a single band is a bit difficult sometimes even for smaller people. Overall though the quality and functionality are definitely there. The tablet holder can be adjusted slightly for varying device thickness in addition to size. I do have a feeling that the tablet holder will break first from overtightening. If you don't want your tablet to slide out, you have to tighten a bit more, at which point the holder starts to flex a bit.
