Hi, I am a mechanical engineer who saw all the 1-star reviews bemoaning the assembly process - and I bought it anyway. For the first 30 minutes, I was amused at the cut corners - some of them, like the strut channel, actually can streamline assembly vs through holes (and it's cheaper to produce)! However, as time wore on and the metal-bending issues became worse and worse, I eventually found my frame on the verge of collapse so I'll have to grab some L-brackets and resume assembly sometime this weekend. That is, if the bending did not permanently damage the strut - which is paper-thin by the way. Assembly is a nightmare, there is no design consideration for leveling or weight distribution. No sub-assembly, no (or too few) brackets to provide structure. Maybe the thing is solid when constructed (doubtful), but assembly is literally not possible without a wealth of outside tools to prevent catastrophic failure. The "bolt-in-channel" design quirk is cute, but extremely inefficient to supply sufficient torque without stripping -- ESPECIALLY when the next step has a floating 6 foot pole attached on ONE end by ONE bolt. I chuckled that the majority of, if not all, bolts are designed to only slide in at an angle (because the designer hates the customer) AND the majority of bolts are not accessible for tightening up (because the designer hates the customer). I will give this another shot this weekend. Maybe, if everything goes perfectly, I can increase this review to 2 stars. ... show more

Can anyone tell me if you take the opal white film off the window slates? Instructions not the greatest. Glad everything was marked. Some of it took 2 people to put together. Seems kinda flimsy for the money!!

    • Nothing is perfect, but it's great for the money
I waited to see how it would survive the winter before reviewing, and it held up through high wind and heavy snow. However, hail storms did put holes in the roof (outer layer). I highly recommend some vinyl wrap on the outside to help protect from damage, my roof is badly torn up after 1.5 years and I feel this would prevented most of the damage and yellowing from UV. It's usually 50F warmer than it is outside on a sunny day. It was hard to build and the slightest breeze makes it even harder, but once it's up you're all set. My one complaint is that there's no way to lock the window closed, so I had to use 2x C-clamps. ... show more

I would rate a negative 10 but it wasn't optional. This material is so cheap and flimsy!!! It would take 3 people to put it together. Then if you were able to assemble it, there is NO GUARANTEE it would stay upright. A slight breeze would DESTROY IT!!! LET ME SAY AGAIN A PIECE OF CRAP!! WASTED MY MONEY ON IT!!! Likes: Lightweight, well packed, fast shipping, all materials present, video instructions option, inexpensive, versatile, nice looking, functional. Dislikes: Polycarbonate (plastic) is very thin, assembly is unnecessarily complicated, they MEAN IT when they tell you to put the channel bolts in for later, nothing to remind you to square it out before bolting which sucks a bit if you don't catch it. Tips we will share: Have Duct Tape to hold glazing or plastic covering in the metal channels when you are trying to put the next one in cause the first one falls out lol. Have at least two friends or family members to help you hold it in place and validate that it sucks, tell you to quit and throw it away, etc., to strengthen your resolve to finish it and also to feel even better when you are done with it and it's up and working! You will need to get a latch for closure for the roof vent as it pops open and for the door as it has none. Silicone caulk the entire thing from the outside when you are done. If you forget one of the "use later" channel bolts, just buy a pack of small T bolts and it's not a big deal as long as you measure or else just tin snip out a triangle and put the bolt in downstream, then slide up and into place. Once the washer and nut is on and tight, no one cares. We cut out the back of a shed I built earlier and added this, turning the whole thing into a greenhouse so it was perfect. I will likely add some stronger poly next year but for this year, it's great. Yes, assembly is literally the most maddening thing in the world and that is not hyperbole. My spouse can assemble anything despite terrible instructions and actually almost gave up on this. There is a lot of sliding and popping out of flimsy metal and thin plastic. Duct Tape for the win! I will say, the metal is freakishly strong for how flimsy and light it is. Hope this helps someone. ... show more

    • Don’t waste your money on this inferior product
This product was difficult to assemble, mainly due to the fact that the instructions were incomplete. What should have taken a few hours (with several workers) took 10 hours (with several workers). Despite hours of hard work, this broke almost instantly once it was completed (and in fact broke several times during construction). What is perhaps the most infuriating part, is that the seller has been wildly unhelpful. The side of my work shed now has permanent holes in it, I have a broken and disfigured greenhouse (due to poor manufacturing), and I can not get a refund from the seller. I strongly urge anyone considering this product to pick literally any other greenhouse. ... show more

    • More than worth the money
I don't understand all the negative reviews for this greenhouse. I assembled this on a day with 20mph winds by myself. If I had to do it again, I would've done it on a less windy day, or had a helper. But still, had it up, and mounted to the garage in less than 3 hours. And the complaints about the sturdines, BULL. After I drove the screws into the garage wall, I dug out the entire area under the frame to install pavers. The door still functioned as expected, no racking or twisting. I am more happy with this greenhouse than expected. Especially for the price. And the app supported manual was an added bonus. ... show more
