Went up easy and seems to be of good quality. I watched it get torn out of the ground and thrown (along with all of my starts) across the yard in 60 MPH wind. I would recommend that it be placed next to a structure to help protect it. Luckily it survived the flight relatively intact and I plan to re-use it next year if I can protect it better. ... show more

Not heavy duty. Metal tubing with plastic joiners. If you're mindful of securing it with the top tie downs and around the bottom flaps, wind shouldn't be an issue, especially with stocked shelves. Shelves have their weight tolerances though - you can see the 8" and 6" potted plants here that are fine. Since I needed more headroom for some plants, I used that shelf to double up shelving strength on the others. 6" pots and less, or seedling trays, etc. would be fine on single shelves. Don't lean on them though ;-). I've had a few rain/wind storms come through since installing it and it was/is fine. It's a lifesaver for my frost sensitive plants, although I use an infrared heater on a digital temperature controller to make it a true greenhouse for the winter. Notice I used white duct tape on the window flaps to keep out cold drafts. It peels off easily. Without all that it would still be a decent cold frame in northern climates to protect and germinate seedlings etc.. It looks green, but that is just the shade mesh overall. The plastic is clear, with a barely discernable greenish tint, probably reflected from the mesh. I plan on using it as shade with an evaporative cooler in the summer. We'll see how that goes... So far so good. My summer-worn plants are thankful. ... show more

    • Know what you're getting - it needs modification

Set your expectations if you get this as an item that needs help to become what you want. IF you are keeping this in a location that shields it from heavy winds then it doesn't need as much. Going to boil this down to several points: 1) Shelves are short, very flimsy and do not stay in place [I used ZIP TIES to secure them] 2) The rods do not stick well into the joints [I used heavy duty duct tape to hold them in place] 3) The ropes and anchors are not useful to hold it down [I placed 4 heavy cinder-blocks inside, 1 on each corner across the rods] 4) We have aggressive squirrels here where I live - I was concerned about them scooting under the cover [I placed a wood post with small bricks across the bottom edge to secure the cover] Now, the good: 1) I had no issues with the cover at all, no tears or anything of the sort. Zippers were fine and I liked that the windows and door were secured with velcro instead of a tie 2) The size of the greenhouse was perfect for our needs, I'm able to stand inside with no issues. Things I did to upgrade: 1) Since there are no bottom shelves I placed plastic across the bottom shelf area, since we have the greenhouse on a brick path - wanted to avoid discoloration 2) I added 2 shelves going across the back of the greenhouse, got two 12"x48" wire frame shelves (that were for closet organizers) and zip tied them to the other shelves and rods.     • Nice, but needs some support and modifications

It was easy to assemble, however, more permanent attachments would be more helpful. The anchor strings did NOT hold it down in a strong wind and caused it to roll over durring a storm. I had to put bricks allong the extra length of plastic cover thats at the bottom to hold it down. Metal rods and attachments would be better. Also, it is pictured with two small window openings on the sides that are not cut out in the cover i received. I must leave the door open all the way to get any air in. Theres no way to open it partially because the strings to tie it up are very short. I will need to make a few modifications of my own to make it work. A vent in the top would also be a good idea. Lots of insects fly in and cant get out. ... show more

First day we had problems with the zipper. The zipper kept getting jammed. I.noticef the plastic has started to rip a little st the bottom. For themoney we laid Id expect these issues not to have occurred. I would have sent this back immediately if I didnt have such a dire need to get my veggued snd dwarf fruit trees protected. Easy to put up, perfect size. The pieces seem to want to separate a bit and I'm disappointed that the ties came off immediately with nearly no pressure. These ties are to keep it from blowing away so it's worthless. I'll poke holes in the sides to tether it down. I hope it holds up through the winter. Packaging was severely damaged, but no pieces were missing or damaged. Box was not strong enough for 38 lb package. ... show more

The house looks really cool when set up. I set it up between houses inside a fenced area. But it's not made for West Texas winds, Tie downs pulled out, plastic shelf brackets bent and broke down from weight of plants, wire shelving very flimsy. I had to zip tie them to the shelf poles to try and keep them in place. Might be okay if you live in an area with no wind. But I wouldn't recommend this product for windy areas. ... show more

It was quick to set up and self explanatory on use. The shelves are a little flimsy but work for what I am doing. You need to add a thermometer inside as it does get hot. You also need to add weight to the structure so it is not susceptible to moving or turning over in high winds. It will be a good starter green house to learn how to get started or whether this type of gardening is of interest. ... show more
