  • Shoulder Straps worn off within a month at the seam
Size: 19"H x 12.5"W x 6.5"D Color: Black
I wanted a hardshell backpack, as my old one is almost 5 years old and it has seen better days. I opted for this OGIO hardshell because it was truly a hardshell back pack, and it had enough space for a 15" MacBook Pro, a 10.5" iPad Pro, a case of cables and dongles, and pair of beats headphones in the carrying case. After only a month a half, the strap has ripped at the seam (see 2nd picture), and I am afraid to wear it again because it my completely fall apart. I did not get a chance to return or exchange, since I've had it for over 30 days. ... show more

  • This backpack has been through alot!
Size: 19"H x 12.5"W x 6.5"D Color: Black
I bought this bag almost exactly 2 years ago. I just had to purchase a new one since I literally ran this last one into the ground. In the first photo the bag on the left is 2 years old, the one on the right is the new one I just received. I ride a motorcycle daily, and this backpack has been my go to commuter accessory. I also would take trips a least once a month to vacation spots within around 4-5 hours. I would cram everything into this bag and be on the highway for hours. Every-time I would go to the grocery store, I would pack this thing to the brim. This pack has been in rain, dry desert heat, and over packed day after day. Every time i'm on the motorcycle, this pack is on my back. You can see the first place the pack started to fail was on the like suede covering. That happened to start falling off around 1.5 years in. Then a large frayed cut started on the pack. It was small, but it started opening more and more since I would pack this thing to the gills. The only reason I had to get a new bag was because the zipper finally gave in. Some of the teeth broke off. I couldn't get the zippers back onto the teeth, so I figured it was time to get a new one! If you are thinking about picking one of these up, especially if you ride on 2 wheels, I wouldn't hesitate. Also I don't know how much spine protection you would get using this. I ride with full gear, and this bag is NOT CE level rated, but I figure it might work as a cushion for impact. BUT again, don't buy this to use a spine protector, it may cushion the impact, but its not worth it since its NOT CE rated. ... show more

  • Form = Function
About me...My first bike was an 01 Yamaha R1 in 2006. Ive had 2 more since then. Until this backpack Ive only rode with the backpacks I took to class. This is not a cross over backpack you can use, say for hiking or probably even class. Its for riding, and riding fast if you choose to. I know what your thinking, "Ive been ridiculously fast with a regular pack", you and everyone else. And for the most part a regular pack sucks. Zippers, straps, flaps, pockets, stuff flies everywhere. Not to mention traditional packs shift around on you quite a bit depending on which one you use. This will take all that out of the equation, and will actually make you feel a little more stable at speeds. So, lets dig in....The overall quality of the bag is very high. You wont find cheap materials or short cuts on the bag. And you shouldn't for the cost. The outer covering on the bag is a type of rubberized coating that scratches easily. This is the only short coming I see with materials. All the straps on the bag have an elastic band to hold extra strap. This doesn't work and needs fixed. The strap will eventually work loose. The shoulder strap has a release on it. Just genius. When you ride with a leather jacket on you really cant move your arms that much, but with the release you simply reach up to underneath your arm pit, squeeze the clip and the pack falls off. It will fit a pair of shoes, jeans and shirt. Dont get greedy, you don't need more than that. Now lets go riding Recap Cons: Its really only a riding bag straps still come loose a little coating scratches main zipper on the inside makes you turn it over to open it Pros looks cool no drag, no shifting no external anything stable at speeds comes right off with a jacket on overall high quality comfortable ... show more

  • very impressed, best bag ever, only few small things to point out.
Size: 19"H x 12.5"W x 6.5"D Color: Black
I think I was a little skeptical at 1st because I have always had Indians with saddle bags. I know have a 2019 vmax. I didn’t want saddle bags. I tried a few back packs and everything moved around at speeds. So I purchased this bag. I am a stocky guy 5’ 10” 230lbs. It fit well. Only issue was belt was a little short. You can modify it with Velcro to extend it. At speeds it sticks to you like a glove. I had reports in my bag and got caught in a Major downpour like nothing I’ve been in before. And I’ve been on motorcycles for 25 years. Nothing in my bag was even damp. It kept everything dry. I was very impressed.if I had to criticize it, I would say if you pack it full, it pushes the part of the bag that goes against your back. Ps. I still have my Indians for when my wife wants to go for rides on the weekend. ... show more

  • Frustrated and Disappointed!
Size: 19"H x 12.5"W x 6.5"D Color: Black
The bag is falling apart and it hasn't even been a full year yet. Let alone the fact I only use the bag when I ride my motorcycle. Which btw is when the strap broke, mid-ride and almost caused me to eat the pavement. I can say with certainty that I've only used the backpack no more than 100 times and this is extremely upsetting. The bag when full only carries a pair of Nike flyknit trainers, a 14 inch laptop and a few accessories - nothing overly egregious that would cause the bag to bulge or not want to close. OGIO needs to do better with quality control. ... show more

  • Straps are decent, very good product overall.
Size: 19"H x 12.5"W x 6.5"D Color: Black
I purchased about two months ago. After about a month, one of the waist strap’s stitching came undone when I was trying to strap it on. Luckily, it’s not that important. The chest strap keeps it tight on your back while you ride. I must say though that I had a minor accident last week and tumbled off the bike. My laptop was in the bag at the time. After getting out of the ER, I was finally able to check my laptop and it had no dents or breaks, screen was intact, and it worked as perfectly normal. If it hadn’t been for the strap coming undone, I would have given this bag a full 5 stars. It has plenty of compartments and room to hold a lot of stuff. Aerodynamic, so it doesn’t get caught in the wind with the feeling of being pulled you off of your bike. I would recommend and would get another, if I lost this one. ... show more
