I accidentally purchased some 5-blade razor replacements for my Gillette Mach 3-blade razor blade. As expensive as blades are, I decided to upgrade to the 5-blade fusion razor and am really glad I did. The shave is noticeably smoother. I just wish the blades were a bit more durable. I do stretch them out, but after 30 or so uses, the blades have to be replaced. Planned obsolescence I suppose. I’m loyal to Gillette because I’ve tried those mail order razor companies, and these particular razors give me the best results. I can make a blade last me a month with these with the way I shave.

The razor is great and does a great job of shaving. Easy to use, but when wet it is extremely slippery. Earlier versions had a rubber area that improved the grip. I've been using paper around the grip area to hold it.

I purchased both the Fusion 5 and GilletteLabs razors just to compare them both. I have a heavy beard so I wanted to see if one product was better than the other. Cutting to the chase, they offer similar results if not the same. Either razor will allow me to shave my face in just a couple of minutes, literally. It's like cutting thru butter. The way the blades have been designed, they glide on your face so it is just about impossible to cut yourself while shaving.
