I went through 2 other cubicle hooks which were too narrow for our cubicle walls, so wasted money. This two pack fit our cubicle walls with a little room for adjustment. It's plastic so don't hang anything too heavy. I got it for my hat and jacket. Bought a pair for my office mate, he uses 2-way set together to hang his computer bag. Had been holding for a couple months, but this might be pushing. The bracket to which the screw secures has two slots for two orientations, narrow and wide. Pay attention when installing to avoid frustration. if you need a light duty hook in your cubicle, and the cubicle walls are a little wider than normal, these are for you. Recommend. ... show more

There weren't any instructions in the box for this double hook, which is probably why some people reviewed this poorly since it didn't fit their "standard" 3 inch cubicle walls. The piece of paper inside provides instructions for a plethora of other products. Out of the box, it only fits 2-3/8 inch walls. This double hook does fit up to 3-1/2 inch walls as advertised, but you need to completely unscrew the extension angle and flip it around to the other side (see photos). Flipping the angle gives you the (up to) 3-1/2 inch configuration. Also, this double hook is all plastic. I'm not sure if I trust hanging my SwissGear laptop backpack on it, which only contains some cables and spare power brick. The plastic hooks flex a little, so we'll see how they hold up. It's currently June, so I can't comment about durability of hanging a winter coat on this yet. I might return these anyway for all metal hooks. ... show more

I have bought several sets of these for coworkers at the office. We have the office cubicle set ups that are so common among the businesses these days. I have put considerable weight on mine and it has held up quite well. I have no complaints. For the money spent, they are absolutely worth it. I purchased these to hang hard hats and vests on for a busy construction workplace where we transition from cubical to site multiple times per day. The cubical we have had a wall with a thickness of about 3” and this was the only hanger I could find that seemed to match what we needed. I installed 4 of them this morning and so far they are working great. Installation: So the instructions it comes with are clearly not made for this device. Luckily, this is so simple to set up, that if you needed directions, I would question your position at your current employment. They’re super easy to set up. Just note that if you have a thicker wall, you will need to reverse the hook end. One plus is that the screws will accept either a flathead or a Phillips screwdriver. I used whatever flat thing I could find and it worked fine. So I appreciated that. Especially since a lot of offices might not have a Phillips head lying around. These are plastic, so don’t try hanging your recent kill on it. Coats and hats are probably best. ... show more

The plastic feels very fragile. Also I am unable to use them because they do not expand enough to hang over my cube wall. If they fit I would probably only hang lightweight sweaters or small purses rather than a coat or heavy tote bag for fear they may break.
