Well my first impression was the comically small cans. I guess I was expecting a couple of those giant Easy-Off oven cleaner cans. Once I got past that I figured, it is what it is. I've been using Bullfrog with spf 50 for a very long time. I didn't want to use DEET but Bullfrog has problems. I still get the occasional bite, plus it's pretty oily. When I have left it on the counter & if it left a ring, then I accidentally put a t-shirt on top of it, the t-shirt was permanently stained. So I decided to try this because it said it's "dry." After I got over tiny-can shock, I sprayed it on. It's real aerosol so you have to be careful not to inhale it. I did not use a lot. A stripe up the front & back of each arm & leg, rubbed it in, put the leftover that was on my hands around my neck & face & a little on top of my head. Washed my hands! It is not purely "dry" like a powder but not oily at all. After it's rubbed in I can kind of feel it there but it isn't oily like the Bullfrog was. I'm amazed, but I guess I shouldn't be, that almost 8 hours later I was hearing mosquitos buzzing around me & I did not get a single bite, & believe me when I tell you I am their favorite meal. If Mosquitoes are your friends, do not use this product. It works well, and keeps them far away! I swear my blood must be sugar water - maybe the daily energy drink? - as mosquitos are always all over me. I love to hike and do dog sports, and always carry this with me to keep the vampires... um, mosquitos AWAY. 10 out of 10 recommend for anyone else that always attracts the wrong kind of pest and is trying to repel them. 🤣 ... show more

These have worked great so far. I was continually bitten by bugs while at work, but after using this, the bites have stopped. I intend on buying more when I eventually run out.

Love my Deep Woods Off! As a trail runner I swear by this stuff! I use this every time I’m in the woods or doing yard work. Can’t beat this insect repellent. Goes on dry & stays on for a very long time, even through sweating.
