Easy way to save 100-150$ compared to the deale. I performed it on my wife's 09 GTI about 10k miles ago and it's still running strong with 133k miles. I used the 'top fill' method, where you remove the air filter, battery and battery tray and use a funnel (a couple bucks at AutoZone, don't buy the 30$ extoil one) to fill it at the opening where you remove the DSG filter. There are lots of videos to be found on youtube that show you how it's done, I was wary of this method too but it does really work!

If you're doing your 40k or 80k service, you only need 4.5L of fluid. Which makes 1 and a half bottles useless. You should keep them, because the transmission holds 6.4L of fluid altogether, So in case you ever Empty out your transmission(which is probably impossible) on 120k service, for example, you'll have enough to fill it up. This kit is great, everything you need for a competitive price.

Decent price on the oil kit and a lot cheaper than paying to have the oil changed for you. You will need a few specialized tools to do it. Be sure to watch a few videos on YouTube to make sure you understand the process before attempting. Not that complicated. If you are careful, you will be fine.

This service kit contains everything you need to do a DSG fluid change on a VW or Audi vehicle. I used it on my 2012 VW JSW and had no issues at all. All the components (fluid, filter, o-ring and drain plug washer) are all genuine VW parts. You can youtube how to do the fluid change yourself and it's a fairly straightforward and easy procedure. I did not use the VW tool to refill my transmission, I used a funnel with a valve and hose that's available from Amazon, Walmart or most auto stores for under five dollars. Took me about an hour to change the fluid and it was my first time. I highly recommend this kit for your 40,000 mile service.

Saved so much money on my GTI DSG! Dealer wanted $500 after tax to do a service. This kit, a tube hose funnel and youtube saved me over $350. These cars are really simple and fun to repair once you learn the little details. Genuine VW filter and fluid.

I have purchased directly from the dealer before for this service kit and this kit is identical, minus the dealer markup. Kit included all items necessary to perform the DSG fluid change and even comes with a new drain plug crush washer.

Great combo, not much to say - filter was nice, new washer for the plug and the fluid was just great. Only complaint I have is I didnt need 6 quarts, only 5, so I'd love to see a 5 quart option to help save the $15-$20 a quart costs. No idea what I'll do with this extra quart lol!
