Purchased 3 of these in different colors to use with paddle boards. Due to the reviews, I immediately changed the clip to locking clips so that there was no risk of it coming off. They worked fantastic! The cords are a great length, stretchy and yet strong! As beginners, we fell off our paddle boards plenty but our paddles were always there since this leash attached them to our board! Watched another family lose a paddle and it was found down the beach. Only reason it didn't get five stars is because of the clip.

I took this on my last kayak trip down some rapids and when i went overboard the only thing i could grab a hold of was my paddle. I expected this leash to snap under the immense pressure and sheer amount of force of the rapids but lo and behold it didn't even flinch. Not only did it not snap under the pressure, it held the weight of a submerged kayak enough for me to reel the whole set up back. Not one for reviews but i had to after how amazing it performed and saved my kayak from being sent downriver. I wish there was a score higher than 5 stars tbh.

If you're kayaking as much as I do, having your expensive paddle on a leash so it doesn't end up at the bottom of the river, is a great idea. I've never lost a paddle before, but this ensures I won't. I have a carbon fiber paddle I paid 300 dollars for, so keeping it attached to the kayak or boat is just smart. I absolutely make sure all paddles are tethered before getting in the water. It's an absolute must for me.

Yes, it's thinner than a piece of dental floss, which initially had me questioning its durability. I mean, could this stringy wonder really keep my precious paddle in check? Surprisingly, yes! It's like the little leash that could, holding onto my paddle like a champ. However, my dreams of towing a mini kayak behind me were swiftly dashed. Alas, this leash isn't quite up to the task of playing tug-of-war with a watercraft. But hey, can we really blame it? It's got one job, and it's doing it admirably.
