VERY well made durable product. Not only solidly constructed, but very nice to look at while adding the smell of good quality leather in the air. All of the hardware is high quality and appears to be able to hold up for the long haul. Durable hard bottom to handle the scrapes of lifting and setting over time. It is thick rigid leather and appears that it will hold its upright shape over time unlike my multiple CLC electricians bags which never made it past two years without leaning. Its expensive, sure. But, you're getting a premium product.

I recently started doing communications work, needed a tool-bag and found this. I always prefer to buy Quality USA made products, and so far I think this meets that criteria. The bag seems well thought out as far as pocket/pouch sizes and placement. It has a leather strap that can be unhooked for carrying your electric tape, quite a few screwdriver loops and some pockets for them as well. There is still room in my bag for adding a set of nut-drivers and some square-drives. The previous review mentions a white plastic bottom inside, mine is black which is fine with me - will still keep an unsheathed knife from poking a hole through. This shouldn't be a problem though because it comes with two hard plastic sheaths that each hold a knife ( or whatever else you would want to put in it ) and a pencil. The actual exterior bottom looks like a hard rubber, it has some grooves cut in it to keep it from sliding I guess. I did buy the shoulder strap ( not included ) but decided not to use it, currently I carry my lunchbox on a shoulder strap so it wouldn't make sense to carry both in to work on straps. One thing I wish Is that there was room for a full size hacksaw frame, but it is divided enough that there is no room for one. I want to carry something for cutting conduit sleeves, I will probably find a saw that takes up less space than a standard hacksaw. This bag does look very nice, haven't owned it long and already had several compliments. Of course it wont look plush forever, worn leather boots still look good to me and I imagine this bag will do just fine scarred up from use. I did upload a couple photos of my bag, maybe down the road I will take some more to show how it wears.

Photo's don't do this tote justice. I expected to get a hard working, USA made leather tool bag made of scarred up cow hide. What I got was a hardworking, USA made tool bag that looks like it fell off the Gucci truck. My wife was jealous. Construction is full grain leather with serious rivets and stitching. Most of the Tool loops are thicker and stronger than any belt I have ever owned. This bag is built like a saddle and will probably last as long as one. Some great touches that really crown this bag: 1) The inside has some heavy plastic reinforcement - white on the bottom to make it easier to find things that fall in. 2) Small matching strap meant to hold electrical tape rolls or anything else holes in the middle. 3) Extra D loops by the handle to attach a shoulder strap or whatever else. 4) 2 plastic holsters and a heavy nylon bag, all clip on and are removable

Great quality and craftsmanship! If you are a serious tradesmen and skilled in your work, this is the tool bag for you. Well worth the money. You will need to order the shoulder strap and tape thong separately. This bag will last for years. “A man skilled in his work will stand before Kings”

As an electrician I've always tried to buy Klein Tools bags but I'll be honest, this is definitely worth the extra money. Very top quality, thick, durable leather with heavy-duty stitching and rivets, etc. HAND MADE IN USA baby! Spend the extra $$ and you'll be passing this onto your son and grandson. It'll be the last bag I ever have to purchase. Love it.

I just received my Stronghold Journeyman's Tote #5585. It is better than I hoped. The quality is comparable to a fine leather saddle. I love the smell of new leather. I can hardly wait to get my tools in it. On further inspection I wish it had a metal clip for my tape measure and there was some room to personalize it with my Name and Local Union! As a Union Journeyman Electrican for 26 years I have purchased many diffrent totes or bags. None have been of this high of quality and I have purchased name brands like Kline and Ideal my whole career!
